Default Walter Mitty Roll Call 4/29-5/2, Road Atlanta

Hi,

Anyone interested in joining us at Road Atlanta the weekend of April 29th-May2nd? Featured race team this year is Brock Racing Enterprises. I am in the process of organizing a "Meet & Greet" with Peter and Gayle Brock. This will be an informal talk, Q & A, plus autograph session. There will be a Cobra Corral in the infield. Should be a fun and interesting weekend.

Have fun at the Mitty you guys. Should be a blast.

Here's short interview that Dave Despain did with Peter Brock on Wind Tunnel yesterday.

Oh what to do! I want to take my FIA BUT you could say this would be the maiden voyage and a 160 mile one at that! I've put 80 miles on the car so far and still don't have all the bugs out! Carbs, rear end squeal, exhaust leak, oil leak, etc. Then there's the chance of rain... I really don't want to trailer the car but I think I'm a little unsure of the drive. Khan I finally got it all together, well except for the carpet but that's not much to do. I didn't realize just how hot these cars can be! It's like driving around in a pizza oven! I really need to get back out to your house and see the new project! Now that your in the Pantera "community" do know where any ZF's are? Your car looks great! Thanks, Matt

Drove by RA today and the place was stacked with transporters waiting to enter. Superformance is evidently doing a corral as well, or maybe in conjunction with the FFR gang. Looks like good weather on Friday, Sat/Sun could be 30-40% chance of the wet stuff. I'll be there with the 67 GT350 at least on Friday, hope to see everyone out and about.

Commish,

The Corral will be a Cobra Corral with no designation towards a particular brand.

Come on out and bring the Stang!

Thumbs up

Tony,

The racing wraps-up around 7pm and then there is a Welcome Party starting at 7.

Many of the guys are camping out there for the whole weekend so they'll be there all night.

If you do not have it....here's my cell# if you need anything (678-971-9470)

You'll need a ticket to get in and also an infield parking pass to get your car in the gates.

Talking Go For it !!

Matt,

Just put on your brave "war face", climb into the cockpit and go for it !!!

The "worst" that is going to happen is you don't make it and have to call a buddy with a trailer :P

Weather looks AWESOME for tomorrow, "ehhh...OK" for Sat and "Not Bad" for Sunday !

Hope to see you there !

Come on Matt! Quit typing and start wrenching!

Seriously, even if you come without the car, it is an experience. Every car and race car from the last 50 years will be there. It is a really cool event.
