Fiberglass artisian - northeast Atlanta
Does anyone know of a particularly good fiberglass shop up in N or NE Atlanta? I've got some chip damage around the nose of my car. Hitting a pickup truck in the rear while messing with my visor this morning didn't help. Nothing major. Is it likely that a shop could refinish the front of the car (stripes included) and really blend it in to the original finish? The paint colors are standard PPG.

Tony, I know a very talented 'glass guy down here in St. Lucia. A friend of mine also owns the regional PPG franchise and he really knows his paint, so just bring that Cobra with you when come down and they'll get it looking good as new!

Hey Buzz,
Thanks for that. I just got a quote from a local Chrysler dealership with whom I have extensive experience for a little under a grand. I really wasn't expecting much less with the stripes and all.
As for the trip, I'm heading down to Boquete, Panama in a couple of weeks to check out one of the highest rated retirement destinations by some opinions. I still think that the only chance I have at retirement is to leave the US. St. Lucia isn't out of the question, but the cost of living and tax benefits being offered by Panama are pretty sweet.
Tony

Good luck with the repairs Tony. As for retirement, a few people from North America and Europe retire down here, and the ones that do it comfortably generally have a tidy nest egg or a good source of retirement income.
St. Lucia is a beautiful place to retire but the government here unfortunately can't seem to get a grasp of the fact that offering meaningful incentives to retiring foreign nationals will open up a whole different area of growth in our tourism sector. There are some decent incentive packages for foreign investors, structured to be more attractive as the value of the actual investment goes up, but nothing really geared towards retirees. It can still be done though - a beautiful house with an ocean view and a pool can be built down here for far less money than an equivalent residence in most parts of the US, Canada or Europe.
When I lived in Canada, a number of people I worked with were looking at Costa Rica for retirement and I remember that they were offering some pretty incredible incentives. Not sure what the status of that is now though.

I drove my car up to 985 Collision this morning for another estimate. I like these guys (Thanks Tim). Their plan would be to repaint the nose, touch up all of the gravel dings and clear coat the front up to the cockpit less the hood. The big concern is that the transition of "old" to "new" will begin to show after a bit of sun baking. I think they're concerned about the right things.
