Since this thread has been hi-jacked I'll add my $0.02 worth. I build stuff for the gov. and have to deal with tiny minds and lots of power trips on a daily basis. While these incompetent a$$ holes build their ego and fluff their resume I pay the price. Try $1,500 a day in liquidated damages because you are behind schedule, never mind the fact that it rained every day for for six weeks, never mind the area has recieved more rain during this period than anytime in the past 109 years. I could go on and on, but the answer is to find a new vocation.
TC if you are listening - I have a plan if you make your purchase

Randy - That'd be great. We all know what a hack I am when it comes to being a mechanic. I'm still waiting for BillP to fill his promise to put a lock and key on my hood!
To hijack the thread again - quick summary of the problem is that it's slipping. I came out a couple months ago and had no pressure. Checked the top resevoir and it was empty but couldn't find anything below the car. Not sure if that DOT3 evaporates or absorbed by the garage floor maybe. Any way, I refilled it and did my best to bleed the slave. All a first time experience for me. It's generally OK into first, but going to second etc - get lots of slip.

Time to get back to the subject. Who is going to show up, where are we meeting, what time, which route are we taking etc, etc.

Take it to Bill, it will work as soon as it gets there... must be something magical about McDonough. I haven't had another minute's problem since I did just that... and Bill can install that lock in the same visit

Hijack a thread. Never. What lock are you talking about Chill?
I booked tix last night for the trip to Monterey but ran into a major snag this morning. I have a round trip out to San Fran via the company for next week, booked a $290 tik on Expedia and figured I'd use that as the outbound. Luckily, my "inate wisdom" ( to Randy) told me I should call corporate travel and ask them what would happen to my return if I didn't fly the outbound on their ticket. Reply, the whole ticket is voided, you'd be stuck in San Fran, the airlines would stick it to you to get you back, you'd need VP approval, blah blah blah. Canceled tik 1st thing and Expedia only charged me $5 for the pipe dream. Oh well.

JEEEZE.... all those questions..... more importantly, anyone gonna drive their Cobra?
GS, If we run up to Dahlonega via Hwy 9 then on up to Blue Ridge and back through Canton, how about we meet at the Cumming Sonic across the street from the Movies 400 on Hwy 9 in Cumming at 9 or 9:30. Those travelling over on rte 20 can easily get there, then we can keep on up 9 north.
Looks like a good turnout from the post, unless anything's changed, we have:
GS - in a Porch
Chill - Cobra
SVOBUD - Cobra
redUnique - Unique, I assume
Cracker - BMW? Cobra?
Hector - Cobra
Jason - another Porch?
Charlie - Cobra
any others?
Now the route and time???

I should be able to make it. With the little red car. Anybody talked to Dave Crace lately?

I'll be there ...
But we need to nail down the meeting place. The Sonic sounds easy to find for us "east side snakes"
Tony, you want to meet somewhere around GA 20 and I-985 and then caravan to the Sonic for a 9:00 launch ??
Let me know.

I'm leaving the route and logistics up to Chill and GS
Those interested in making it to Canton (Riverstone Plaza) after our trek, we should plan to be there no later than 4:00, or probably will not get parking spots together.
Chill's suggestion of meeting in Cumming is fine by me. How about the local Alpharettaville crew (Chill, Cracker, GS, TC, others?) want to meet locally and drive up to Cumming together?
I would suggest a coffee location---maybe a Starbucks (Windward Parkwy) or BP (Windward and Hwy 9)???? Get gased up and coffee'd up??
How's that weather forecast looking

Tony, I saw David on Monday at the Porsche Club meeting. Let me ask him if he can join. I think he is another one with baseball activities .

Yo Hector, sounds good. I think our paths will intersect at the Mall of Ga. Anywhere around there is good.
Mike, I don't think DC has been monitoring the site this week.

I'm in with a Cobra fella's - finally! Charlie, that's fine with me but with a Mother-as-baby-sitter my wife is going to be giving instructions for 30 minutes. I'm afraid I'll need to take the most direct route to our final meeting place due to morning time restraints. I'm heading over on Hamby Rd. to Hwy 9 and then up from there Charlie if you wanted to catch me on the way up. Are we able to still make it 9:30 - 9:45 in Cumming?
JO - why are you so quiet? Your car certainly isn't - come and join us!

Saturday 9 - 9:30, Sonic, Hwy 9 Cumming
Looking like its coming together! If this plan's ok with everyone... and Sonic serves breakfast for the early arrivals.
Weather is Sctd T-storms, Precip 40%, high 84...
Randy: You might want to get your mapping program warmed up with a primary route up from Cumming to B/R and back to Canton and maybe plan a short "bail-out" route in case of threatening weather... for those of us without roofs and AC
Worst case it will be a nice morning ride and we will make the guys at Sonic's day!!!

I just need the place/time for the meet. Cumming Sonic? 9-9:30? Came someone give me directions how to get there? I'll be coming up GA 400 from I-285. I'm use to waking up at 3:45am everyday .. so I don't think it'll be that big of a deal for me to sleep in a bt and make there by 9am
I don't venture up that way much .. so I really need some directions (with landmarks) that will help me out.
Thanks!
