Riverstone (Canton) Cruise Sat 20th
I see that we're approaching the 3rd Saturday of the month---anybody interested in meeting at Riverstone?
I will suggest the same meeting place as before, and drive up as a group---that's the Quik Trip off of I-575 just north of Woodstock---I cannot remember the exit number, so please somebody help me out.
Anybody game? Plenty of dinner spots, if we want to get some grub....

I'm there, parts car obviously . If I do not have grease all over me when I show up though, you are free to dump buckets of water on me. I may come dressed for the occasion though .

I have a family funeral in Alabama on Saturday, so I definitely won't make it. You guys have a good time. I hope to have my car back in a couple of weeks, so let's plan a cruise/lunch. I have an enormous pent-up desire to burn some asphalt.

The old military vehicle show is something I try to go to every year. Last year, DC, TC, and I went. I'm the only one that had a good time though. I collect old jeeps, and the show has about 75 old jeeps, Humvees, trucks, surplus stuff for sale, etc.
I usually drive something different to the show than what is being shown, so even though I have some old jeeps, I take a sports or race car to the show, the same way I drive a Humvee to Road Atlanta for the races. Gets more attention that way...
I am going to work on my new garage this weekend, it is finally coming along. I am buying doors for it, and if I can't find a better price on them, I'm going to have to either make them, or do without for a while. I've already robbed the kids school fund for the slab.

I've finally got permission to attend the cruise today. Ed, what is the name of the road at exit 11? I'm gonna try some back roads in getting there. Charlie, are you still going and if you are let's meet up and head over together. GS, are you going to a baseball game today? See you there guys!

Roll Call! I don't want to start at exit 11 by myself - who's planning on being there so I will wait - or go!
Just in case, my cell # is 404-518-0412.

Joel - Ed, Whats the name of the road at exit 11? I'm coming from due east and not on 575 to get there. If you cannot remember the road how many exits is it past Towne Lake Pkwy? Thanks!
I FOUND IT GUYS - NEVER MIND. It's Sixes Rd. See you there!

I should be getting the heads back from the polisher on Wednesday or latest Thursday. I plan to carry all of the engine parts I have (intake, water pump, heads, March brackets, fuel lines for carb) down to SA on Friday. Unfortunately, Lewis is going down to Montgomery for the Chevy show. Yep, it's true. CHEVY show. Hopefully they'll be able to get everything together during the first week in October.

Sorry I did not show, but it was for mostly good reasons. I ran into two snags getting everything ready or motor drop in. I'll just say hood removal took longer than anticipated, and I need a new clutch arm (owner error on that one ) I have probably ground or cut 2 lbs of metal since Friday . I have about a thousand little pieces of iron all over my skin. If any of you plan on doing serious metal work, I can see why people use a plasma cutter!

Sorry Ed & Joel! I'll try to work on my manners next time and say good bye! Enjoyed the time and learned that next time I might want to wash my car when going to a car show even though that was not the reason for attending - obviously. Thanks again and look forward to the next one.

TC I thought you had a plasma cutter ! - I saw what you did to that scrap metal. No way you did that with a grinder or regular torch. If you did then you are much better than I gave you credit for. Stunning work on your part.
