Randy,
Silver Dollar Dragway is in Reynolds, GA. Its about half way between Macon and Columbus. LONG ride for you guys but when they have one of the Mustang days the FORDS are all invited and, perversely the Buick Crowd also is invited as they (Fords) like to race the Grand Nationals. I kind of sneak in as being a little of both.
Anyway, Its really too far for a single night for you guys. BUT there are some 1/8 mile tracks around the South side and I've never raced on one but its really MOST of the equation. ie its all about the launch...
The Talledega race sounds neat but I'm not sure what my December schedule is for the airline. Probably be in Bangkok on that day
I find out the end of this week...
Regards,

ACC and others;
Sounds like you guys a great time, and the 1/4 mile runs were all pretty impressive---congrats to JO!!
Sorry I missed this one, but too much going on that Friday.
Anyway, let's try and do another run north if this weather holds---it cannot last much longer

I just love to see little motors go fast...
Your times are very close to mine. So far the best run for my 274" Buick has been 10.71 at 124 at this years Run & Gun. I think there may be a couple of more "tenths" there somewhere I just have to figure out how to get them
You should attend Run & Gun as your car would be very competitive.
Regards,

Well, the Commerce track is open for two more Fridays. In regards to the ET restrictions, Ron suggested that some of the Cobra guys (a category that will certainly include me) should practice on their launches and letting up towards the finish line to keep the times down. Then when we get the technique nailed, make the last run count (and get booted in the process). Everything resets the next night we show up. One point, the Commerce track is one of the few tracks that is wholly owned by the NHRA. That's one reason they are so anal about the rules.

Cracker I just remembered that you had a camera on your car. Did you get any footage of me pulling away from you ?

Cute Randy,
Unfortunately that was 1 of about 5 runs that I forgot to turn it on. Coincidently, my top two runs also were not recorded. I remember it well though but don't get me going - big brother!
What's the latest with TC's car?

TC got some work done late today. Changed out driveshaft bolts for aviation grade ones Kirkhams sent me--did you see the SEMA car? I am in lust. Also ran into a snag today as I changed out brake fluid canisters. Will plug away this weekend, but also will pay Johan a visit tomorrow.

TC - How can you be in "lust" when you have an identical (better) car? Stop lusting after what's already in your garage and get it done.
For me, lust is what I try to conjer up for my wife after a week long business trip - sometimes it works and most of the time it doesn't.
