Default The good news....and the bad news.

The good news is that my new motor in all of its chrome glory is essentially finished and ready for the test run. The bad news is there won't be enough time to get it in the car this week. And the REAL bad news is that we just found out that someone has to leave for Rwanda and Central African Republic on Sunday. Guess who drew the short straw? Holy macheti! Time to break out the Malaria pills!

And the REAL news is that this buys us a few days to paint your heads black, bead blast the intake, let's me replace the alternator brackets I "lifted" from your motor for my hotrod with NOS Ford brackets, and sell all your other chrome pieces and replace with satin stuff for a tidy profit. Enjoy Rowanda !! You are in good hands!! Of course I may need to take it for a spin after I put it all together .

All that would take another month! Oh well, I'll have something to think about as I'm trying to pass my new parasites. I'm going to run down there today or tomorrow to get some pics I can sleep with under my pillow.

Hey Tony,
A dear friend of mine - a Princess and widower of an Army leader in Nigeria, has $30,000,000- waiting for me over there.

Any chance of dropping in on the way through and picking it up for me. She's very nice to me via email, so it must be true....

Be safe in Rwanda.

Craig

Yo Craig, thanks for sharing your potential financial windfall. Plans have changed and I'm stopping over in Cameroon as opposed to Rwanda on the way to Bangui. I have friends in Lagos. If you send me your personal checking account number and PIN, I can probably get it to them. Rest assured, they are honest folks and will take care of your confidential info. Maybe we can take some of the proceeds and invest in our own South African Cobra manufacturing company. Johannesburg seems to be zoned for Cobra building.

UPDATE - Before Tony uses up his calling card (called yesterday morning from Paris). Bill took your car out for a test drive. All of the guys came in laughing - tires broke loose and got sideways in first gear!!! Car returned in one piece. Good to go in 1st, 2nd & 3rd but wouldn't do a doughnut in 4th. Told Lewis to tear it down and up the stroke and loose the chrome. P. S. Need to order larger speakers.

Also, thanks for the heads up on plans for 11/7. Bill is sending John with camera and copies of our engine warranty policy!!!!

Susan, this isn't considered an acceptable method for break-in? I thought Bill just said not to run at constant rpms....

Unhappy

Oh no .... the chrome has to stay.

We didn't think the new motor had to run, just shine and more shine

Go ahead and put some old valve covers painted Ford blue to accent the shine. I'll bet you could hear Tony yelling from whatever part of the world he is at.

Susan,
Tony call and asked me if I would get you to bead blast the chrome off the motor and remove the stereo for him, he figures he wont be able to hear the stereo and Bill won't ever let him open the hood again anyway!!!

I think he must have lost your number, so he wanted me to pass along the message.... or maybe it was the swamp fever talking....

...

Actually - Tony's been on caller ID and call blocking for some time now! Has he posted a picture of his motor anywhere? If not, I will get one posted. It really is nice. Thinking about adding it to our web page.

Home at last! I shot straight from the airport to Southern to take a ride in the new thunder boomer. It's a totally different car! I drove it the 50 or so miles from McDonough to Dacula via the back roads. I can only imagine how she will perform with a little additional lead in the foot. And the sound. Completely different after all that port work, from the intake to the header flanges.

It's amazing what an extra 100 horse power will do.
