John, upgrade? Should I ask? I know unleaded premium is expensive. But have you checked the price of enriched plutonium?

Can you handle a 3/4 cam That sounds like a lot. Need any help pulling the motor or taking it apart ? I have an assortment of pliers, 2x4's and hammers.

I used Engineered Performance a couple of times when I had the 427. The former owner Ed knows his stuff. He tuned my Holley fuel injection by laptop and got it running pretty good. Maybe we could get him to come out for a day.

Bet my stroker makes more power

Dave - yours may be bigger - not a problem - but Ed Senf, a fellow alum from GT, said mine was great between the sheets. Next move.

Ed did some of the performance mods on my 94 Supra, and yes, he seems to know his stuff.

I can't remember the guy's name who owns it know, but they've done some work on a company car of ours. My vote would be to have our event there.

Thanks,
Joel

Update: The word is that "World Ford" in MArietta, GA is having a dyno day this Sat, 12/13. $50 for a run, $100 with a tech "tuning" your car. Will try to confirm this.

This will not be out official event but give a chance to those interested. I will be preping the coupe for Sunday track day at taledega GP. cb

whu? $50 a run .. that better be at least 3 pulls .. especially with a group event. .. and $100 for a tech "tuning" won't do much good for you carb guys - not unless you bring a bag full of jets. Think I'll pass and stick with my own personal fav dyno and tuner.

SVOBUD: Who's your fav dyno and tuner: looking for one!

That is right: 3 pulls but carbed cars won't benefit fm the"tune" offer.

I need to get my c timming and carb set corretly

My car is up on jackstands for awhile. I'm making a few changes and finishing up the many things I didn't get done the first time.

If you want someone local to Atlanta .. See Brad Brand at Atlanta Chassis Dyno that was mentioned earlier in this thread.

I go to B'ham (actually Trussville - just outside it). Walker Dyno Tune. www.walkerdynotune.com I went last Sat and tuned out one of my Mustang SVOs (4cyl turbo). One hour on the drums and brought it from 231rwhp/256rwtq to 269rwhp/338rwtq. Not too shabby from a nearly stock 4cyl pinto motor... and still haven't gotten into messing with the factory programing on the EEC

Total cost was $85 for the hour with wideband O2.

Come spring, I'll probably carry the FFR over to him. I REALLY want to install a Stack EFI on my car .. and it would require tuning out the SDS or other management system I decide to go with.

Chip - you might really like Walker's .. the owner races a Miata and knows his way around one quite well.

How did you get just a big boost in HTorque?

Need to get the Miata sorted out still. Also need to get my new project dyoned and tuned: Daytona Rep with small block Ford. Was told by the seller that the engine was stock except for the headers.

You going to the AL SAAC track event at Talledega GP this weekend? Am taking the Coupe over to do some test and tune. Don't expect ti to be a grat track car but wll give me a chance to see wha it will do. chip

I had changed out my head/cam from bone stock to a ported stock head with larger valves and added a larger roller cam (stock is a slider cam). The stock head config was making 230rwhp 325rwtq on 24psi of boost .. on 93 oct pump gas. Then I found out some impellers were missing on the turbine wheel. I put a new stock T3 .63 housing on it and when I installed the new head .. I just set it on there, backed the timing down to 8 deg, left the cam at 0degs, fuel pressure at a safe level (38psi), and backed the boost down to 17psi.

All the increases were gained by raising the boost (max was 20psi), while playing with the cam a bit, upping the fuel pressure, and intital timing. I'm going to need a better located intercooler (front mount) before I can start raising the boost more... and getting more aggressive with the timing. Still using the stock T3 and 100k+ shortblock.

Can't make it this weekend to Talladega - I have to work Fri-Sat-Sun. I'm sure some of the other SVO guys will be there though. Maybe you'll let them by this time on the straights instead of blocking?
