Whoops,
The car show was Sunday. Apparently is was mostly Tuners and Custom Harleys.
I went and played golf with my eight year old instead.

No problem... my "boss" decided that it would be in my best interest to spend the day buying Christmas gifts instead. Later that evening I went out for a short drive and felt something "give" underneath the car so I limped it back home carefully. I'll look underneath the car when (a) I get the nerve and (b) I get past my Thanksgiving travels.

No lack of excitement with these cars, is there?

Hey Keith.... your plans include a trip to this side of the world during the Holidays? I am sticking around both Thanksgiving and Christmas, drop by if you can. You have the number.

Keith, what do you mean by give? Any noises, vibrations, clunks we need to diagnose?

chill - I was out there but my schedule was non-stop hectic. It's insane, really. I'll be taking more vacation around Christmas. I'll be driving to Canton on the 19th or 20th and won't return back until 27th or 28th.
TC - My son has allowed me to sleep a sum total of 5 hours since my last post (or at least it feels like it) so my memory is sketchy. Seems like I felt a "thump" from the rear-end (here come the jokes) and it seems like it was reluctant to disengage when the clutch was depressed maybe??? Really can't remember it all now. I may try to take a very short drive through the subdivision when weather allows and make a better note of sounds, etc. I might jack it up first to see if anything appears obvious. I need to install my new Jar IRS stiffener plate anyway. It's been sitting on the coffee table for a week.

No problem, I understand that whole hectic schedule thing.... I'm not going anywhere Christmas, maybe we can hook up then.
Of course you will have the Cobra fixed and be driving it over to Canton for Christmas, right? Rain, snow, sleet, or dark of night??? With what you have driven through, what's a little cold damp weather to you???
Jag IRS stiffener plate? Something new??

Yea, it's a rather stiff steel plate that bolts to the bottom of the IRS center section to "tie everything together". It's powder coated black and comes from Unique ($50). It's a rigid piece. I also ordered eight stainless Grade-8, 12-point bolts from Totally Stainless for mounting. Very nice-looking bolts and quick shipping (under $30 after shipping). See the thread at the Unique Cobra forum for more details.
I would tinker with the car today, but I get the feeling that Christmas decorations will take precedent this weekend .
