Chip - me and Matt are meeting at the Hooters in Kennesaw (corner of Old Hwy 41 and Cobb Pwy - in front of COWBOYS) at Noon. Guess we'll get a bite to eat and then meet with Tony and Clyde over on GA400 way some time around 1:30-2:00pm ?? That should give us a couple of hours to putter around as a group. I'm sure we'll have to head back this way before it gets close to dark (and cold).

I'm going to try and get somewhere Sat. It may take a while if the car stops everytime it gets up to temp Chill is about 15 miles away so that is - hmmmm 5 @ 30 = 10 +20 = 30. Then 10 @ 80 = 7.5 + 20 = 27.5. Then 5 @ 30 = 10 - I'll arrive 67.5 minutes after I leave.

GS - My 780 Holley will be in a box in your driveway by the time you get home from work today. I was talking with another Holley "fella" and of course he has no aversions to them other than to get the most (Barry Grant level) it requires some work. He said I'd be your best friend if I would talk you into a Speed Demon for $350! He also believes it is most likely your power valve which is causing the problem. Let me know if the "spare" carb works - oh, for some reason all my spares are Holley's and the carb I run are Demons.

My 780 is a mechanical advance - is that ok?

GS, I have a spare Eddlebrock 750 with jet kit that was too much for the Windsr if you need it.
Bud, I will see you at Hooters at noon, bring plenty of radiator fluid!

GS, I have a spare Holley.... doesn't everyone???

No, wait I sent that back to Bill, maybe I need to see if he got it since I didn't get a check... must be a delivery problem

Tony, et al,
I don't have my springs, but I have everything else and I plan on doing the rest of the assembly and then its only a few bolts when I get the springs. I spent the morning at friend's shop pressing U-joints onto the new axles and mounting the front wheels... (Cracker, David H. says Hi)... Give me a call in the AM and maybe I can ride... shotgun... over to Hooters for lunch, and/or ya'll can come by after lunch for a cool one and some manual labor....

(putting 'being your bit*h' and 'Hooters' in the same sentence seemed wrong somehow)

Hope you guys have good weather for the ride. I'm working in the am and then I'm going to check with Bruce Bunn in the afternoon. He's applying the paint tomorrow if all goes well.
It won't be long now...

If you guys are heading back towards the 400 area, I like to hook up somewhere.

I am not sure how to get to that perticular Hooters
Maybe directions from I-75?

Tony, are you heading that way? At what time?

Everyone coming over this way to the Hooters in The Saw (Kennesaw) for lunch? If so .. from I-75 - get off at Barrett Pwy .. head west - turn North (right) on Cobb Pwy (Hwy 41/3). 2nd traffic light is Old Hwy 41 .. turn right and Hooters is immediately on your right. Guess we can take a drive up to Red Top Mtn from there. Not too adventurous - but it does have a pretty nice photo opportunity spot with the lake as a background.

Hector! You're alive! I need to run by Clyde's house first. His car is apart. I think his house is on the way (more or less). If you want to go together, we could head over in the 10:30-11:00 timeframe.

Clyde, I need directions again. It's been too long.

Anyone want to swing by in the AM to help me for like 5 minutes? It requires no heavy lifting, just need some hands to jiggle my left side header pipes so I can slip that side's exhaust on to tack weld the hold-on tabs to the headers. You do not need to be here for the welding bit. Sadly, I cannot do Hooters, but then again my car is not done, but this could be the weekend if I get some good work done.

Mike, aren't you pretty close to Chill? I'd love to see your car (and garage). Hector and I may be cruising over that way later this morning.

TC, was that you I saw yesterday doing about 150 at a minimum down a 1 lane strip near Dawsonville ?
If you still need help around noon I may be out your way. I'm assuming you are at soccer right now.

On your second run, Barfield said you were doing " a buck forty" so I figure on your later runs you were doing at least 150.

Mike, Hector and I are going to meet in the Buffalo's parking lot on HW 120 at HW 316 in Lawrenceville (just west of 316) at 11:30. From there we're heading to Chill's house over near Old Alpharetta and 141 and hopefully from there to Mike's house. Come on down if you can make it.

Mike, I got your number and I'll call you a little later.

Well .... good and not so good day.

The good ...

Got to me Joe with his spectacular CAV GT40 and Chip showed up with his Daytona Coupe. T-bone stopped by in a 'company' truck .. and no ERA, but we'll get him out sooner or later. Met a soon-to-be new owner who's planning a FFR Big Block build. Had some good buffalo chicken strips at Hooters.

The not so Good.

Matt made it 200ft from his driveway when the distributor took a dump. He met us at Hooters for lunch, then Myself and Chip went back to his house to help push his car back down the street and into the garage. Matt pulled the dist, but none of us had a clue why is wasn't turning .. "shrug". By this time, it was too late to venture towards the GA400 area .. so me and the co-pilot took a lazy stroll through West GA .. nothing exciting to report.

Next time fellers ... I'll be ready for it in 2 weeks from now if the weather holds out. Chill - get some parts!! Matt, get some new parts!!!

Cool Sat. 28th

Bud, thanks for letting me take a peek at your car. Nice ride. What was the name of the body you mentioned?

According to my lovely wife, I have to finish the street rail in my basement first. I have the engine built and detailed and the welding completed. Since spring is here it should be warm enough to get done soon.
