Default Chassis dyno at Atlanta Dragway

Ron called me today and told me there will be a chassis dyno set up at the dragstrip in Commerce possibly next Friday (to be confirmed Monday). Pulls will run $20 each. It will be the usual "run anything Friday" with the Dyno-guy there operating as a vendor.

Not to be pessimistic but considering how long it took the other cars to run the strip I could only imagine the line to dyno the car as my recent trip with JO proved it takes a good 15 minutes just to strap down each car - every time. As an alternative the place that we were at charges $300 for half a day for as many cars as you can strap down. It might be a fun outing for us - maybe.

The only things I have that run right now are the Alfa Spyder and a 1994 Pontiac Grand Prix that is in "non-street" trim. Do they have experience dynoing Alfa Spyders? I won't just take that baby anywhere, and is there a waiver in case the Alfa breaks the dyno?

How often do you guys head up to the dragstrip? Seems that some of these cars would get kicked out with the speeds they are capable of...unless the track officials "look the other way".

I used to take my Mustang Cobra and Corvette to Reynolds all the time (not as crowded as Atlanta Dragway) and sometimes to Commerce.

Fattybri - No they do not look the other way as we had two members kicked out due to et and lack of 5 point roll bars. There was a bit of confussion regarding the whole deal but we still had fun. Heck, all but two weren't fast enough to matter anyhow mostly due to the extremely slick track.
