....sshhhh... Since GS will not have a PC after Friday, we can tell him we will meet at the Varsity then on Saturday we can decide where to really meet....

I'm "cruising" to Tennessee tomorrow in the Cobra. Coming back on Sunday, but I doubt I'll make it.

TAKE PICS!

Bud, do you take backroads to Murfreesboro or is it Interstate most of the way?

Thumbs up

I am in. Let's meet at 10:30 at the Varsity and go from there.

Tony, let's meet somewhere on this side of town and then head to the Varsity. Maybe Mike can join us also? Let me know.

I feel the "waxer" in me calling out. I may opt to attend an early afternoon show instead. I haven't had any ill-mannered crumb snatchers riddling my car with little greasy fingerprints or women with long dangling bracelets irrigating the tops of my doors and fenders in quite a while. Pretty soon I'll have so many gravel dings I won't be able to show her anymore.

Anybody going to bring a lady, girlfriend, wife or SSP?

I have a confession to make - I washed my car today - second or third time in a year. I still don't have all the carpet installed......

I can't be there by 10:30. Is there a lunch stop? I could meet you there.

Actually .. Hwy 41 passes right through downtown M,Boro. I took the interstate until I got to Monteagle (the mountain) .. and jumped on hwy 41 from there.

Nice ride .. except the Interstate travel part. ALOT of people traveling today .. and a ton of butthole truckers cutting people off or riding the bumper less than couple of feet away at 80+ mph. Mainly ME!

Averaged speed 75mph and 26 mpg .. of course there were a few blast to triple digits thrown in for good measure. Saw a fellow Cobra owner on I-75 heading south near Rome. Think it was Dave Crace. Dark blue with white stripes (just like mine) but with a black roll bar.

I can't be there at 10:30 or 11:00 but if ya'll meet later, maybe on the way back, I could be there. With church and kids, it's hard to make it early.

Hopefully someone will read this before heading out and I can catch ya'll this afternoon.

Tony - Where is the show and what time?

31 posts til now and maybe nothing happened? I came in 2nd BTW for my first outing with the new car, would have been 3rd if another ACC member did not get Shellfish poisoning along with half of the field at Roebling.

If you ever race with me, I may recommend a certain restaurant for seafood.

TC your quick lap was ?????????? Hope you guys didn't get sick from my favorite place. Congratulations on the 2nd place finish.

We had a good mid day ride. We passed a nonmember Cobra going the other way on 372. He looked freaked out to see four coming at him - guess he thought he had the only one . Wish he had turned around and followed.

I decided today that my car handles like a dump truck but it scoots in a straight line.

I saw a silver FFR on Rte 16 while heading home. BTW, had some major carnage occur on 16 to the tip of my exhaust and it boogered up the tread plate on my trailer. Was the size of a kitchen sink suddenly upon me. I did swerve to avoid and thought for sure the whole truck was gonna be boogered but massive swerves are not in order with about 8,000 lbs behind me. I managed to "nick" it, but not ideal.

Glad to hear some gathered for a ride in what is truly glorious weather. KMP will be done this week as the car above needs some attention.

1:23, working towards 1:teens. TC needs to learn how to downshift clutchless for 10/10 rather than 9/10.

TC did awesome. The 40 car is not easy to master. He got the best spin award for doing a 180 at the high speed turn 1 braking zone right in front of DC. He kept disappearing into his trailer like some sort of recluse, and I finally realized (he never told me !) that it was air-conditioned in there !

DC did great. He has a way of making passing difficult, if not impossible. Thanks for finding the nice places to eat Dave, I should be back up to my normal weight by next month.

I got dizzy and had to come up with "shellfish poisoning" as an excuse not to wreck.

My favorite moment was a toss up.

Elliott Forbes-Robinson driving my car (1:11) or me racing him for a few laps (he won ), or when I stepped into the air off the podium and dropped my bottle of champaign( that's right, podium, the thing you stand on when you pass DC).
TC was 2nd, with Spyderman 1st in his yellola and did I neglect to say that Brian (Johnson ?) , the lead singer from AC/DC was there ? Wish I had taken pictures, but I did not.
Glad you guys were holding down the fort (foot ?) here while we were McQueening at the track.

Johan,

Wow, I just looked up EFR's stats.

HE WAS THE FIRST DRIVER TO WIN ALL OF THE IMSA CLASSES, WITH WINS IN GTP, CAMEL LIGHTS, GTO AND GTU.

Forbes-Robinson, Stewart's co-driver for the Paul Revere 250, brings a wealth of experience to the team as the winner of numerous championships in professional sports cars, Trans-Am, Can Am, World Challenge and SCCA. The veteran racer's 33-year career also includes two Rolex 24 victories, as well as some NASCAR Winston Cup experience.

$100 BTW for a new exhaust tip. The crap that flies off people's vehicles is out of control!!

Fortunately, if they are plugged in, they usually never even make it out of the driveway with them.
