GS - I'd get you a ticket, but you're over your limit on your tab. Touch base with me and we can see what the weather looks like and either pack up the Cobras or the truck and the chairs.

Hey Johan, need an extra hand in the pits?

Johan I know the code ( sweet huh ) but don't know what to do with it, but I would like to do it Chill is full of hot air and I can hook him up to the air tools if needed.

Chill sounds good - truck would work great if it does rain - can I smoke a cheap cigar in it? Yikes on the tab limit. I'll hide it the bed of the truck and sneek in.

As most of you probably know you can print a schedule of the race events from www.hsrrace.com. Sunday's quiet hour is 10 to 12 noon but there are warm ups earlier. If anyone wants to meet and drive up together in cobras I one suggestion is the Dunkin Donuts on GA20 just west of I-85 on the south side at say 9:30 AM. This would give us time to see the Superformance site before the races.
If the weather holds I will take my cobra after all. Any other suggestions??

Ed

Sure Chill, I always need some help and I see you already have a ticket so please stop by.. I'm all set up at turn 1. I have a cooler full of water and a cooler full of Gatorade, and will have some Budweiser by the end of the day.

Please swing by the NASA tent and look me up. We would love to have a large group of Cobras at the memorial dedication in Augusta on Saturday, September 11, 2004.

The weather will be beautiful in Augusta!

For those that care, his is a shot of my "baby Cobra".

Hey guys,
Look me up, I'll be in the #83 911sc. You will hear me before you see me cause I'm going to be loud.

Chill, are you going to camp out at turn 6?

I'll bring you a poncho if you bring the beer.

You are going to get some good track time today. Probably best of the weekend.

I'm not running today....I'm letting them use the GT40 for a TV commercial for HSR and the Mitty. They filmed it at 7:00 this morning and are going to film another one later today. I'm not running until it starts raining.

Dave,
Not sure where I will be hanging out, but 6 is usually a good spot. I am going to see what the weather has in store before I determine when and where. I have your cell (the one I have ends in 9263, unless it has changed, then PM me) and I can call you when I get there.

If the weather is wet or threatening, I will be in my black Tundra.

Chill, we'll ALL be in your black Tundra if it rains, and I hope Spydee does not fart, as the humidity can make it linger.

Johan, here are several. You might want to drink a beer or two before viewing where this thing came from. A lot of work by the two brothers:

See you this weekend.

Henry,

There are about 8 or 9 kits in town. Give me a shout and I'll see if I can round them up for the memorial.

David thanks and just give me some direction. The Diamond Lakes Regional Park is really going to be special over the next few years as they add camping, golf, tennis, soccer and other activities and of course the former circuit will be developed into a walking and biking trail.

The Society plans to have one special event each year (in addition to our normal track walks and clean up days) and we would like nothing more than to "pack the park" with Cobras. It will not be a car show with awards, just a gathering once a year with talk, friendship, picnics and most of all remembering the Cobra and King Cobra as they won the only two sports car events held at the track. Perhaps one day we can have "Cobra Week" in Augusta, just as the cycle group does down in Daytona.

Anyone in the area that is interested can join our "track walk" next Saturday, just let me know and I will provide details.

Good Racing,
Henry

David, the track walk will start Saturday, May 8th at 10:00 AM sharp. After the walk we are going to pick up some "light" trash, (ie plastic bottle, cups, etc) in the park area.

We will gather in the parking lot. Come and join us if you do not have anything going on. If you have an interested friend, bring them along.

We walk "rain or shine". In fact the last adventure was on the coldest day of the year in January - but we did it and had a lot of fun walking the 3 miles.

We have put together a real great bunch of guys and girls, both young and old and older.

Henry
