Default CCX33753 - Atlanta Cobra for sale!

COBRA SOLD 6/8/04

Just in case all my fellow ATL/Southeast members didn't know I posted my car on ebay early yesterday (Friday/5th). The links below share more than most people would want to know about the car (at least that's what I've heard) but I thought it would be best that way.

Uh - why ya selling? Is it because my car is faster? I promise Tony, I'll let you win next time.

At least you're selling it with the doors on it.

Yeah, Yeah, Yeah - that's it! I must admit again your car was surprisingly fast but at least I wasn't the only one. When RedUnique with an Ernie Elliott 673 hp motor wonders what ya got it makes me feel better about it as well! Don't remind of thy sin I'm going to church this morning - MR. POLICEMAN!

The faster car is more like faster engine - I have the antidote and the song would sing - bye bye Bud, bye bye Bud... I kind of like that tune! BTW, blowing my doors off would be a little stretch but if JO hadn't turned for home he would have handed you yours as well.

Last time I saw your car on the road it didn't have any doors to blow off

I'm getting a "Little" concerned about you Randy. Your house - last Sunday - painted components together. I know I own CRS but I think your affected by it. That or you need to refresh your Cache'.

Hey Tony,

Did you ever get the 428 dyno'd? I was curious to see what that engine produces. I put a lot of work into that thing and I hope it payed off. Have a great day.

This sure looks like a heck of a deal for 31K?? Nice presentation you put together. Very nice car.

I can assure you Bob its gonna take allot more than 31K to move it - allot more! Thank you for the kind words about the presentation. I have tried to go the extra mile in an effort to fully disclose and educate potentially interested parties. 31K I'm still laughing.

Why thank you Johan! And I thought you were tired of all the blue & white striped cars! I probably will be tooling around in it for some time to come which is fine with me. Its one of those deals where if it doesn't sell, I'm happy; if it does sell and even at my price, I'm supposed to be happy but.... Have a great week!

Johan, first of all check out the two new pictures I posted at the beginning of this thread. The first I'm really proud of as it shows just glimpses of the car - kind of like a lady HALF naked!

Roebling? If I sell the car and if I can coax you into letting me into Group 2 I'm going to try to make it for at least a day. Last year was terrific albeit short (oil problem with Bimmer) but I found driving the M6 was so easy to push unlike a Cobra. In fact I found that my car was faster in the twisties and slower down the straight which meant that Group 1 past with signal really penalized my vehicle - it was still so much fun, thank you Johan! If I can make it can I bring my 'ole Bimmer again? The Cobra is just too nice now to track.

Cracker,
Sorry to see you selling your car. I may be doing the same before long to feed my racing habit. I can't believe you were at The Willis last year and I didn't meet up with you. You were running the BMW? I would not want to speak for Johan, but I hope you come down this year for Group 2. As you can see our group is a little thin. We need some more cars to slow Spydee down.

Your car looks good. Kind of like mine on steroids.

DC

Which group is group 2 ? Sounds OK to me so long as you show the proper credentials to Dave Crace, our race division coordinator, and group 2 leader.

COBRA SOLD! It took three days. Who would have thought?

Although more than my price was met its hard to be pleased! At least I have it through the weekend. Thanks to anyone who passed along the thread or word - I appreciate it!

Thanks DC! If you weren't at so many out-of-town family functions nearly every event we would have met. Good for you!

Tony;

CONGRATULATIONS, I think

That was very quick, and I'm sure, like me, you'll miss the sight of that car in your garage.

So, what's next? I'm soon as I'm out of this real estate deal, I'm jumping back in

Drove the E-Type the other day, but it is definitely not the same..
