BigEasy,
Yes - I'll miss the sight in the garage!
No - E-Type, as nice as they are, is no Cobra!
FOR Now - we both have slow Euro's to play with - could be worse.
Alex,
It hurt but at least I still have the S.O.!
That engine always had that set-up so I can't comment on power differences. I will say the entire Weber system was much more flexible than I ever would have imagined. Cruise in 5th at 1,600 all day without so much as a burble or go wide open full song with relative ease. For a hot "street" engine I'd recommend them and only hold off for an extreme engine package (where I would opt for either a single four or FI). Hope this helps!

Cracker,
Wow, that was quick! You're a speed junkie though, so I know you be back into something soon, hopefully it will be another Cobra.
Good luck!

I hate to see your cobra go north!!! Are the doors going too!! Well if you need a temporary fix come on out and take the demo's out. The GT-40's should be here by the end of the year. I'm building a track gt-350 clone for a friend ..it needs driving occasionally. We feel your pain on letting such a beast out the garage. Best of luck on what ever you replace it with. Rob

SVO - Your not speaking of us but rather about them - right?
RGINN - Thanks for the offer! You don't know what you just got yourself into though . A GT40, hmm, email me when it gets in please - I'd like to see it. Does it come with doors?

Carpetbagger
Etymology: from their carrying all their belongings in carpetbags
1 : a Northerner in the South after the American Civil War usually seeking private gain under the reconstruction governments
2 : OUTSIDER; especially : a nonresident or new resident who meddles in politics
