Cracker's Back in! Dare I say SB :)
I know, I know! How could I ever think of driving a SB after all the SMACK that's flown around here in the debates?
The answer is 500+ hp & tq 408 Stroker from Performance Engineering in my new (used) Superformance. Many thanks to Rob Ginn who kindly helped me understand the finer points associated with these cars! It won't be at Roebling next week but I'll be in the hunt for a getogether soon. Check that - IT WIL BE AT ROEBLING DUE TO THE KINDNESS OF JO TAKING DELIVERY. HE EVEN OFFERED TO PUT A SPARE BB IN HIS SPARE TIME.
Here she is:

Cracker: Congrats on the purchase! Is that the car that was for sale on CC for 40K? I just told a friend about that car (he's in the market). Great choice.....and great engine. I have a buddy that has the same engine (built by Eric, only it was Competition Motorsports then) in his black SPF. I'll bet I can name almost every part in your engine. Great motor........and plenty of pep!
-Have fun!

TerrySPF - That be the one! I can't wait to drive it and if your friend's interested have him call me - I might sell. Not too fast though I want to enjoy it first - for awhile! This has the SVO block, forged everything, TKO-II tranny & single plane Vic Jr. intake/heads etc., etc. - should be fun.

I'm glad you finally admitted a big block was too much for you to handle. What serial # is the SPF?

Cracker,
That is a very nice car and engine. Welcome to the world of SB. You will find that with that power and torque you won't miss the BB so much after all.

Fella's - Thank you! I'm sure the SB thing will totally adequate for me especially on the track - it's being delivered directly to the track next week after all so I'm running at the Willis in something American or British or South African - what the heck - I'm running!

Dare I say SB ?
Depends ... did you want to be able to keep up?
I truely find an amazing turn of events here. We all go out on a North GA cruise a few weeks ago. I explain things to you in the world of small blocks (ie: insert a mental image of a warmed over efi 5.0 leaving a webered 428ci). Out of the blue - you go out and sell your car .. then show back up with a wicked stroked Windsor car.
Interesting .... hmmm?
P.S. - sweet ride.

Ya know... there really is no "other side". SB or BB, there are no capable 15" street legal radial tires to really take advantage of it anyhow once you get into the 450+ club. Nice car, and you'll enjoy the heck out of it.

DC - I STILL WANT YOUR GROUP THOUGH!
Thanks again to Rob Ginn - the Superformance dealer here in the South for a great afternoon & lunch! (This is me with my mouth wide open). I was able to drive his 427 SB which has about 560ish hp and it was, can I say - enough. I'm definitely going to enjoy NEXT week at Roebling. Thanks for the welcome from you Small guys but remember I still have a BB going through the KCR test. Verdict is still out which one's best as I might teeter back and forth day to day!
Alex - your right - how about on Tuesday & Wednesday? Rob Ginn wants a gathering up at his place after/before one of our outings. For those who haven't been to McMichaels Motorsports it's a real class act and he has an original GT350 to boot! Someone put it together!
TC - #1158
TerrySPF - send me a PM for your friend.
Southerfriedcj - there's something plastic calling your name!
Hey SVOBUD - I'm up for a re-match and this time you get FattiBri!

Just when you had me giving it(the plastic and some greenbacks to be named later) serious consideration, I find out that you're gonna thrash the $hit out of the thing at the 24 Hours of Savannah! At least I'll sleep easy tonight, since the visions of actually driving a Cobra in '04 won't be dancing in my head. Oh, what could have been.... I may just buy a new WRX, who cares if everyone will think I'm a sellout!

I never questioned your driving ability, it's those other jacklegs that have me concerned! As far as all "THAT" work, if you're scared, SAY you're scared!
And another thing, get up offa my sig, I wanna be a waxer, I'm just too lazy to actually wax(and have you seen the price of that stuff lately, 9 bucks a can!). I go to car show and walk around wearing mirrored shades, with a cloth diaper hanging outa my back pocket. I'm the only "pretend" waxer(although, I'm sure others will soon follow my lead).
BTW, nice SPF. It'll probably go faster if you shed a couple hundred pounds of chrome off it!

SFCJ,
Trust me, running around with a diaper hanging from my ass is not a trend I am going to emulate. It may just be me, so maybe we can start a poll.
