Default Diecast display case needed

Hey ... anyone know of a local shop that carries such items? Looking for an acrylic case - mounted on a wooded base. Or, there abouts.

My 90 yr old Granny just gave me one of the greatest gifts of all times and I figure it should have a primo display case. I want to put it on the coffee table in the living room.

Scale is 1/10. Case needs to be 22" L x 12" W x 9" H

I'll snap a pic (or two) of it once I get home with it this weekend. It's a 66' Mark II GT-40. Detail on the thing is absolutely amazing. Even have a 'tool' to remove the knock offs.

There is a catalog called Micromark. I think they have that. Ill check later when I'm doing some library work tonite also check web sites for boat or model train equip. Shouldn't be to hard to find. Or you could buy a small fish aquarium and turn it up side down on a board.... just kidding

E-mail Todd Koller at toddk237@hotmail.com He sells cases such as you describe on e-bay and I have had him make special order cases for me. He does beautiful work.

check scale model clubs. they usually have links to places that make them.

Be sure to get something that breathes. The acrylic housing may be moisture resistant but the (usually) wood base is not and is susceptitle to warping or distortion. Moisture buildup inside due to varying temps can create problems. Also, some die cast stuff is high zinc content and will deteriorate into a pile of black oxidized residue in time. Ask someone who knows about corrosion/electrolysis and oxidation about how to avoid that.

Cobra Country has diecast display cases available--I have bought a few from Curt and they are nice.
