I'd say call that Ford Dealership in the Adairsville (Saleen Dealer) - they know all the local 'talent'.

I just saw the weather report. It is definitely NOT looking good. From 2:00 on, most of north GA was red/orange. I don't think 6" wipers will help much.

Maybe a "Plan B" is in order. I see there's a cruise in at the Canton - Sonic drive in on HW 5 on Sunday (low rain probability predicted). I wouldn't mind going back to the Dillard House up in Rabun County. Last time we took an incredible return trip through the Georgia hill country.

Plan "B" sounds better to me. I'm going vehicle shopping today if the weather doesn't turn really bad.

Well I was looking forward to Hooters but I blew out an ankle yesterday, all the tendons are shot. I spent a nice three hours in the emergency room last night. Clutch foot as well. Maybe the next one I build will be an automatic...

Thanks Johan - that is one I didn't have. The search continues to expand.

Also looking at a new daily driver / tow vehicle / Savannah cruiser / ballpark ride etc. New Hemi Magnum might work as multi-purpose vehicle

I've been hurrying my yard work all morning thinking I might get rained into the house, but when I look at Doppler, it doesn't look like there's much in the way of rain heading for North GA. All the way over to Mississippi it looks pretty clear. The weather folks are starting to piss me off. All that technology. They aught to go back to the Granny Clampett technique of Horned toads and grasshoppers.

Well .... that wasn't a good idea.

I left the house in Paulding County .. partly cloudy, but still kinda sun-shiney. About the time I got to Kennesaw - it had begun to sprinkle - with dark-gray clouds all the way to the NorthEast horizon.

I figured I gave it a shot, but didn't feel like driving in the rain today so I turned around. Unbeknownst to me - the rain had flanked my left side and moved up my rear. It was a total ambush just a few miles from home. Seriously - an ambush. I was sitting at a red light - it turned green - and as I started into first gear, my face was smacked with a bucket-load of water. Startled me so bad that I jumped and nearly sideswiped the car next to me. It was a complete bellywasher all the way home (about 5 miles).

I'm soaked - from the big toe all the way up. The car is in the garage now - draining. The drive in rain wasn't as bad as I remember from my past misadventures or maybe I'm getting better at it with all the practice. Tony - which Sonic is having a cruise in tomorrow - I still need my fix. Directions please.

Default Plan B

I guess the weather folks aren't butt stupid after all. I got a gully washer here around 5:00. The Sonic car show is 2-6 tomorrow. The address is 100 Riverwalk Ct. in Canton. I attached the map (maybe).

Map to Sonic
