I have the med kit and flare gun from my aviation safety kit. If Cracker comes, we may have the pit bull thing covered. Maybe I'll leave the Cobra at home and just drive the support vehicle.

Typical TC...

No pit bull but I do have a 160 lb. Rottwieler - ya think that would do?

It looks like I'm going to be Cobra-less by this weekend - maybe I'll ride with TC in that support vehicle of his but then again I may have something else...

I personally can't do an over nighter (kids!) but it would be great for most who could like those SC guys. Seriously Entdoc & ex. come down I'd like to attach a face with the name - hope to see you there!

Randy - Yeah ... had all these great aspirations of doing it myself and then realized I didn't know what the hell I was doing. Can't wait for that new engine!

I'd like to join the parade. No Cobra yet, but the Vette was still working the last time I checked. Just one suggestion: let's leave early, before all the bluehairs head for the mountains.

Hey, wait a minute! I am a blue hair! Hey Chuck, Peach Shine negates the need for the tools, trailer and sat phone, but the Pit Bull gets upgraded to an AR 15.

I see your bluehair and raise. I'll be 65 in December, just not growed up yet. When I mentioned bluehairs, I was really thinking about driving style rather than age.

Lightbulb !

OK....Here we Go!

this is the itinerary(though it may not be the last)

Let's meet up at McMichael Motorsports, across the street from Road Atlanta entrance @ 9am for coffee and donuts

10am caffeine kicks in we gotta go!

11:30 am-arrive in Dillard, Ga this is the location in which the MG club www.peachtreemg.com will be having a concours and we are welcome to go and see.

1pm-leave Dillard and the MG's and shoot over to Brasstown Bald for a group picture

2:15pm-Brasstown Bald into Helen, GA for a quick bite to eat.

3:15pm-Let's get the Helen out of here!
If you get out earlier, you might beat Cracker back to Braselton. We will regroup @McMichael Motrsports and then on to the Braselton Bash-Year One car show about 6 miles from the shop.

WHO'S IN?

Let me know so that we don't leave anyone behind.

Regards,
Greg

I'm 95% sure I can make it - the 17th is my b-day!!! Rob, looks like I'll have to take you up on that automatic Shelby Clown offer - the "car" I thought I'd be buying was not as advertised - have you ever run into that? Greg - thanks for your help with the CT fellow's!

Sounds like a fun trip. I can't imagine being in the Dillard House Restaurant parking lot and not going in for some serious chow. Is the place in Helen as good? Sorry to bring food into this, but I'm a growing boy and Dillard House is one of my favorite eateries on the planet!

Nothing is set in stone, frankly, it's a free for all.
I guess we can eat anywhere.
Helen is not a mandatory stop, we could easily rumble right thru.

I've got SERIOUS clutch problems. To make matters worse, I'm going to be in Houston until late Thursday night. Bill says he'll get me a new HD clutch and hopefully get it installed on Friday. Definitely cutting it close.

Thumbs up

Count me in.

Tony, I got your message but I was in Lake Hartwell and did not get back until Sunday PM.

Hope to see you and the rest of the gang next Saturday.

I heard from Bill on Thursday and my engine is complete!. The cobra (sans engine) is at Bruce's getting the heat panels installed as of Friday. Hopefully I'll be up and running for this one!

Don't shoot the messenger, but the weather forecast for Saturday is less than stellar. Depending on how quickly Ivan clears the area, we may need a rain date, or consider an indoor get together at the Waffle House as an alternative.

I'll be seriously disappointed if we're weathered out. I was looking forward to seeing some more of the local Cobras.
