Kajun, I may stop in. I used to go to that show every month when i lived in Lilburn (went to Parkview High) with my Corvette. Cobra isnt done yet, but i'll try to make it.

There's an open show up at the Atlanta Dragstrip in Commerce on Saturday. They will be running cars on the track and anyone who has a car registered for the show can run the track for $10. They will have a bunch of vendors, a chassis dyno, quarter-mile runs and a bunch of skanky, bleach-blonde, tatooed hotrod babes who for some reason are attracted to events like this.
Despite all of the weather-related turbulance in the South Atlantic, Saturday in Atlanta is supposed to be really nice.

Hi Tony,
Just got the cobra out of the shop last wed. I need to put a few miles on her before I drive her up to commerce. It does sound like a hell of good time. Did you say skanky tatooed bleached blonds, don't count me out just yet!

Classic Dinner
Andy,
I'll be at the USA Classic Dinner in Lilburn Ga. on Indian Trail rd. They have a car show in the afternoon from about 3:00 till 7:00.
It's put on by the Georgia Bandits car club. It's just a bunch of cool garage mechanics and there hot rods. My father-in-law will be there with his 1970 cougar convertible and his friend with a 1967 cougar. The turn out is pretty good and you will see cars from a 32 ford to a 2003 plymouth cruiser. Hope to see everyone there.
Dean(Kajun)
If I had a choice the commerce thing would be first on my list, but my car is just not ready for that yet.

I just spoke to Wayne Dodd who promotes the Blast from the Fast Past car shows. I just noticed that my car is featured on his website www.blastfromthefastpast.com. The flyer is a bit misleading. Car show registration ends at 1:00 and awards is around 5:00. He'll have a live band, dyno, lots of vendors, expensive food and of course the 1/4 mile cars.
