Got a high-speed ride in a Diablo
I spent the week at our other facility in UK. Last night, one of the founders (who owns a Lamborghini Diablo) took me for a cruise up the express way. He said it had the higher HP option 500+HP. I couldn't believe how fast he got to 160 MPH from 60 without doing any shifting at all. He just returned from a Cannonball run through France and Italy where he topped her out at a tad over 200 MPH. I guess you can expect a lot from a $260K automobile. I must say, it was quite a ride.

Tony - Sounds like fun! I'm headed over to the UK tomorrow ... wonder if he'd give me a ride. :-)

Tony,
There is always a lot of talk here comparing Cobra to everything else but one ever mentions price. When you spend 265k or
whatever it should be as you described.
A cobra is still a good ride for the money, not the fastest or newest tech but still fun and a competitor.

Not saying I wouldn't mind owning one if I was really rich (his insurance is $14,000 a year), I told Nigel that I'd have to own a Cobra as well. There's absolutely no comparison between the two. I really like the thumpty thump idle and loud pipes. Highly refined VS no refinement. Cobras are certainly more "primal".

Tony, so happy to hear you get a ride like this. One that I would likely grovel for. It is amazing how so many other intrinsic factors make the ride of a lifetime. Sounds like you had one. Seating comfort, motor sound, smell of leather, exotica of vehicle, etc all have a profound effect. For me it was the chance to drive a Porsche 928S in Germany back in the mid 80s, and I have never been the same since. Just think though how close the Cobra gets to the excitement factor..and even more so, how well it endures time.

Tony...
I could tell by your voice Friday, you were still a bit buzzed from the ride. Must've been awesome...
TC,
got your v-mail, thanks. We fixed the immediate crisis, but I am sure Chris will call you... but this week he was a bit busy.
