Default NY Trip - OCC Pictures

I found myself with a few extra hours in NY this week and went over to see OCC in Montgomery, NY. Here are a few pics of their showroom...

Default OCC Soap Opera

If they did a little less "arguing" and a little more "fabricating", I might enjoy watching. In it's present form, it is more of a "woman's soap opera" type show than a man's " building stuff" show. Can't bear to watch the entire thing.

Clyde, must have been neat to see in person.

pk, I have always liked the looks of those bikes. I see they only use an 80 CID motor. I guess one could upgrade I suppose.

Unfortunatly the Pauls were out of town at a wedding and the shop was moving from Rock Tavern to downtown(?) Montgomery. The tech I spoke to at the shop said they are filming almost all day everyday and the new shop looks more like a studio with all the equipment around all the time! Not a chance of getting in for a look.

I must be an old fart, but I just don't understand the current fascination with custom choppers. Having started my biking adventure in 1967 (!) and after owning 46 motorcycles, five at present, I have to wonder why anyone would want to own anything as totally dysfunctional as these creations.

BTW Clyde, don't take any of this as personal. I still love your FIA.

Been riding since '68. Triumphs, Ducatis, Harleys, Hayabusas and Choppers. Choppers are just plain FUN! And now with 124in motors and six speeds, preety quick(relatively speaking). Not practical, but a blast! Have known Big Paul since he came to Daytona and was an unknown sitting on an orange crate selling motorcycles! Things have changed!

Maybe my avoidance of Daytona and Sturgis is the problem. I got my first Harley in 1971, but I hate crowds.

Thanks for the compliment Marco.... I am not big on the crowds either and when I rode, I didn't feel a need to do Daytona.

I'm not sure I'd want one of the wild choppers, especially not in the GA mountains....but the imagination and workmanship of some of them is facinating. Everything is out in the open, there's definitely no hiding anything on a bike, just horsepower, gas and a place for your A-- !

Best piece in there is the FH....

Color could be a bit more subdued, tho.
