Chill:
Congratulations on finding a buyer. He definitely has a super car.
It looks like I'll soldier on with the 'Vette for now. Rob Ginn says that we'll be allowed into the Cobra Corral at the Mitty, but I can't count on my diplomatic credentials carrying me indefinitely.

I told you not to sell it with a warranty.
Congrats, whoever got it, has one heck of a nicely sorted car.

I passed thru Tate on my Sunday ride - on Hwy 53. Hopefully the new owner will join us on a few rides. I love that FIA.

Thanks guys
I still plan to be around... I might have to park with Marco, but I will definitely still come out to play. I hope to have my replacement toy this summer, but may bum rides until then.
I sent the new owner a link to our forum and he said he would join in. I hope to see him and the car out and about!

Replacement toy
Chill:
What will your replacement toy be? Another Cobra? I am buying a 289 Unique FIA. I loved your car.

Good choice. Unique makes a great car and the Weavers are super to work with. Bring your new Unique to the Homecoming in May!
My replacement toy is a Lotus Elise... been on the list for a while and finally got a build date... just didn't think I would sell my car so fast!

Will a small block stroker fit in the Elise?

$2.06 for regular at Racetrac in Oakwood. Not cheap by any means, but at least it's heading in the right direction. But if the stock market has a few more days like today, I'll be looking for a good, used bicycle.
I guess you went for the four banger for economy. I always thought that you were a practical dude.

I don't see the Lotus as (by any measure) an economy play... but in this forum it's at least a foothold to throw out a few jabs... ...just trying to keep it lively
...I was just in CA... gas prices are really ridiculous there!!

Clyde;
My four banger comment was an attempt at sarcasm. Having spent a lot of time in the UK, I'm well acquainted with the mission profile of the Elise. I even saw one of the Elise-only races at Brands Hatch. Neat machine.
