Default Superformance Seat question...

Hey you SPF guys ... can someone do me a favor and measure the SPF seats? I want to see if a set might fit into my Unique. Width measurements I think I need are: floor width front, floor width back, width at door height, total height. Thanks!

I'm going to remove my seats tommorow afternoon to fit a full width rollbar. I'll take some measurements. You're more than welcome to come over to lawrenceville and see them for yourself if you'd like. I'll be with the car at my shop til 6 or 7.
BTW, do you have the silver car?

Here ya go: The mount bolt pattern is 9.5 wide x 11 long. The front of the seat begins 2. in front of the front mount studs, it's 7.5 high at that point. the bottom back of the seat is 22. from the front. The top back of the seat is 22. up. The widest part of the seat is 20.5. The adjuster rails take up 1.5 of the height, they may not be a stock item, only my driver seat has them. It's hard to qualify stuff like the slight profile on the back of the seat and the bucket height. They are very comfy seats that fit my big butt well (210 lbs).
If you are still looking in a few months I'll be replacing one or two with racing seats.

Jason,

SPF made changes to the seats, as did many owners of early cars. Ask Mike what his serial # is and if it is an earlier model (say less than #500 or so, if padding was added). I am not flagging this for overall fitment, but many (including me), had their legs fall asleep due to low cushion height on early cars so we added foam and re-skinned the original seats with the original covering.

as TC said, yes indeedy..older car seats are much different than newer seats, but dont know what serial number saw the changes. older seats had a lift out lower cushion and were not as comfortable. i added 2" of foam to my lower cushion, as many others have done. newer seats lower structure was different but not sure the size of the seat dimensionally in circumference or width or o/a height changed. newer seats leather material covering was also different than older seats, a little more dull in appearance and a slight texture surface. newer seats are also set at slight angle off centerline where older seats were not. dont know if this changes anything that was reported back to you by Mike S relative to your needs..but wanted to confirm what TC stated. bill, early car
