Attention Atlanta Area Cobra Club
Dear fellow ACC members
I noticed we have no official structure or officers. With that in mind I have nominated myself to act as interim treasurer. I know it is a thankless position but it must be done and I’m willing. To save time, avoid petty squabbling and certain confusion created by voting I have declared myself treasurer.
My first order of business is to collect dues, both past and current. For those of you owing more than two years I will accept a lump sum payment of $5,000 and consider you current. Newbie’s and members in good standing owe $2500. Only cash will be accepted – no trades - no checks - no credit cards or pay pal.
You have my word that none of the money collected will be passed on to any charity, tsunami relief, feed the hungry or any other worthy cause. All of the proceeds will be selfishly squandered in whatever fashion I deem appropriate. Please post your intentions or respond via email by close of business Monday March 21, 2005.
Treasurer
Randy

Randy, as I no longer own a Cobra, I am requesting a prorated refund of my 2005 dues, which I haven't paid. When I don't get the check I'll deposit it.
I expect your full uncooperation. Please don't send the funds as soon as possible.

GS - This could be fun – I decree myself Dictator, Grand Inquisitor, Master of the Unknown Universe, PoohBah Par Excellence, etc. You are reassigned – chauffer for Martha Stewart – your chariot is the venerable and widely respected, particularly in drag racing circles, Corvair, second only to the Cushman Eagle. Any questions? Good. Now – all the proceeds in the treasury, my investigators say the loot is about 3,302,351,427,521,572 dollars US as of closing on Friday, plus 392 pounds of gold, misc vehicles of unknown origin, three pistons with small holes, slightly soiled underwear, female, one ancient aluminum replica with less than 100 miles, and the entire contents of Hunter Thompson’s stash in Colorado – these are to be applied toward potables for our next gathering – gentlemen, start your orders now. TC – potables are not the green thingies where you unzip – however – given your outstanding reputation for mud diving in a kilt without incentive – you may be the host.

Clearly, you are a demented bunch, suffering from the obvious, long term effect of a few thousand too many hits of acid in your long gone youth. I love it.

What's a decree - does it trump self appointment? If it does then give me your bank account numbers and I will transfer all of the money.
