Unique Homecoming Pilgrimage
Who's planning to drive their roadsters from (or through) Atlanta to Gadsden for Homecoming? If everything works out, I plan to drive the same route Chill and I took last year (back roads up through Rome). It was a great trip. Also, what days are you traveling?

Assuming the weather looks good, I'm going to drive over and back on Friday.

If you can swing it, I would recommend coming back on Saturday. There's typically a barbque on Friday evening, a caravan up to a local national park on Saturday morning and a lunch get together after the park trip. Last year, the lunch was held at a resturaunt that was outsidei of Gadsden, on the way back to GA. I would like to head up Friday morning as well. That's quite a haul to make the round-trip in a day.

Yea, not too happy about having to come back on Friday night but might not have any choice. I agree that it is a long haul for one day.

If you go back roads, it is nice enjoyable trip to do in one day, just a lot of driving. Did a back and forth last year on the Friday and I still have sweet memories of running the Mustang hard through the Talladega Forest.

co-pilot?
If plans hold, I was planning to go Friday and back Saturday. I have a room, but no roadster. I will either take the 'chase truck', or bum a passenger seat if one's available.
