Anyone in the Atlanta/Kennesaw area have an engine hoist that I can borrow to send the Windsor off to Southern Automotive?
Thanks in advance.

engine hoist update...
Thanks to the overwhelming response to this thread, I am now the proud owner of a brand new engine hoist and leveler! The car is in complete rebuild. Funny how that when I bought the car I thought that the only thing I would have to replace is the hideous Centerline wheels that came on it. Well, that will probably be the last thing on the list since I had to take the motor with less than 2000 miles on it down to Bill at SOuthern Automotive and the rear end over to Tommy at Fabrication Concepts. As many of you will recall, the motor has eaten three distributor gears with all or at least the last causing some very uncomfortable dyspepsia down in the main bearings. After Bill and the crew are done in surgery, it will come out a 396W with about 465 HP. As many of you also know, the rear end sticks out about 2 inches on each side causing minor body damage every time I hit a bump. The solution, Tommy is going to take off 3" from each side, replace the c clips with 9" ends to fit new Baer Brakes. He is going to throw in a posi unit, asles and 373 gear while he is at it! I have bolted up the new upper and lower control arms in eager anticipation, and have the sway bars on order. I am a pen stroke away from divorce if the wife ever catches wind of the invoices so mums the word...

Just a thought, but I would reconsider the 3.73s - a bit too much for such a light weight car in my opinion. 3.50s or there abouts will be right on. Call me if you need an extra set of hands putting it back in.

I definately will call and as you know from the imprompto tree planting that I will not hesitate to ask!!!
I am with you on the gear and really wresting with what to use. Like the guy coming cross country, 5th gear is useless unless I am going 120mph. I will make a final decision once I get in it this week and see what is there. What gear is in yours?

This isn't the greatest pic in the world for showing his wheels off, but it's the gray car ....

Alex, is there a place to sleep in that barn? I just got the quote for all of the rear end work from Tommy to go along with the qupte from Bill for the engine!
