So, drive carefully...
If you LIVE in Georgia for more than 30 consecutive days - then by law, you have to obtain a Georgia Driver's License and Tag (if the car is solely registered in your name).

Default GA Reg. not 10, but 30 days.

You are correct and thank you for that. In fact, the law currently says:

"You will be subject to fines and vehicle impoundment if stopped by law enforcement if you fail to register your vehicle and obtain a Georgia license plate (tag) within thirty-days (30) of establishing residency in this state or for Georgia residents, thirty-days (30) from the purchase or acquisition date of the vehicle."

So, the 10 days i was told was pure BS. But, the larger point he made was certainly onerous. Particularly the part about 'vehicle impoundment'. They can have my 230K mile Caravan anytime they wish. Then, they have to buy the next tranny. But my COB? No thanks!
