Default No Atlanta posts in a week?

Yo. Where is everybody? I leave town for a couple of weeks and when I get back, nobody's home? Did everyone change over to the Lotus forum? Anybody else bail since I left? I suppose Bill is going to have to start building 4-bangers.

It appears that all the active posters sold their Cobras and moved on to other fantasies.

What the heck is wrong with everyone? Not having a Cobra is no excuse! What about the Donut Derelicts on Saturday morning? Has anyone gone there lately?

I was wondering the same thing, but I figured it was because of two reasons;

1. It's rained for a week straight .... then..
2. Standard outside temps stayed in the mid 90s for a week.

Two times I don't drive my Cobra - raining or hot enough to fry an egg. I did take it out the other evening for a near dusk drive in my neck of the woods, but no one else that lives around here is active on the forum - besides Matt and his car is still down for the count.

Perhaps similar to what you went through in 1975? I myself am simply too busy at work right now to spend much time on the boards, let alone much else.

I can put floats on the car………..

Pack the interior with ice………..

Find someone that still owns a Cobra………….

I finally got most of the rattles fixed and the larger leaks plugged.....and now I feel alone. It's a frightening feeling. I guess it's time for a bigger engine. By the way, what ever happened to Hector?

Soon my friends, soon! I picked up the motor from SA Friday, but was out of town this weekend. I am back and plan on starting the install tonight. Bud, call me if you still have time tomorrow to throw in a hand.
Thanks,
Matt

12:30 AM and I only have one thing to say...pulling a motor is a whole lot easier than putting it back in!!!! It took an hour to get the driver side header installed and about 5 minutes for the other one, but motor, tranny and headers are in. Now all of the detail work to get her running.

Thumbs up

Don't fear, I am still around here.

I too have been really busy and the weather has not cooperated.

We should get together soon. I may be selling the car soon. I've just recently bought property in Lake Hartwell and it's taking most of my free time.

Unhappy Hector too?

I think JO was right - ACC might now stand for Atlanta Car Club.

TC & Clyde - did any bimmers win at Barber? I bet that was a nice outing!

GeorgiaSnake has a Cobra but instead takes his wife on a romantic all day tour of M-A-R-T-A!

MARTA SUCKS - 2 freaking hours on the freaking train (3 differents ones mind you) damn near missed the flight. What a joke

The airport was equally evil - take off your flip flops they look explosive - I wasn't even getting on the plane. I had nothing in my hands or pockets and they pulled me over for a cavity search - do I look like a bomber Nope - I looked like a fool - bare foot - spread eagle - pockets turned out - magic wand being passed between my legs (checking for explosive nuts?) - I'll stay home next time.

MARTA plus TSA in one day! That's really pushing your luck. I pass through 6 airports a week, often carrying a 20 pound microwave solid state power amplfier module (it looks pretty ominous with the clear plexiglass cover) and they hardly pay it any attention. They always ask me if it's a PC board. I just say yes and everything is cool.
