Hey we're all woosies compared to the guy who drove his from Oregon and posted his trip highlights on CC as he went. Know it's posted here somewhere with pics, just can't remember his handle.....

That is Autoxmike that drove from Oregon and he lives about a mile away from me here in Kennesaw. He also pulled some impressive lap times at Little Talladega (sp?) recently. As for long drives, I drove mine down to Tampa and back for New Years and can tell you that 3 hours is about my limit too. That trip made me change out the "stock" seats for Kirky's but I think that they would be just as uncomfortable...
I have little talladega rented with some friends June 10th and am up for any similar fun in between. I will let you guys know if there are any openings for that track day when it gets closer.

All hail Autoxmike and his iron butt!
The only one to top that would be Michael Sarrazin in Gumball Rally but he was just fakin' it! Shame we couldn't get some of the 60 FFF talent from the Showcase Lounge to great him at the finish line!

is anyone up for just all meeting at a central location (somewhere around 400 sounds central) for some coffee and donuts sunday just to get this thing kicked off for the spring. i know we all have our honey do's and church but just to meet everyone and look at some extremely nice cars i think would really lite a fire under some of our asses. weather permitting let me know if anyone is in.

I'm in for Saturday or Sunday. Somewhere around 400 sounds good. I'll contact a few that don't follow CC often if we make some plans.
Up 400 (to 53 I think) across to Dawsonville then down 372 back to Crabapple. Is a nice ride that takes an hour or so.

Year One Show this weekend
All,
The Year One show is this weekend - Fri, Sat, Sun. They're having events at both Road Atlanta and Atlanta Drag Strip in Commerce. Muscle car shows, skid pad, autocros, etc. I'm going to try and go on Sat afternoon - might try Friday too, but right now looks like a rain out.
If you guys meet up in the Roswell area and then decide to go for a drive, why not make the drive be out to this event?

I'm among the Cobra-less at this point, but I'd really enjoy meeting everyone at the starting point.

Very happy to see the dialogue and happy we have so many choices. This forum is intended for everyone here in Alanta. If you have an event or an idea, throw it out there and you will be amazed.
I am definitely going to be at the Mitty. Rob, having gone to Sebring already this year, I am on the fence to make the trek again. Then again, it might be a once in a lifetime chance to run SEBRING.
This weekend, I can do Sunday based on a review of the schedule of kids/wife. I will not be in a Cobra as I just sold the one I traded in.

I see you're still trying to be a comedian . I was referring to THIS Saturday and Sunday (tomorrow and the next day) which is where this thread's current conversation is heading.

Don't make me reach back there and sepparate you two!!!
Remember that the Tour de GA is running through that area Sat and Sun so be careful unless you want to see another display of cyclist rage via that water bottle!
The tour is sponsored by Ford this year so a run through the peleton could be appropriate...

I went out to Year One this aftenoon with the 4 year old. Saw Bill from McMichael's out there with the coupe and a 427. Rob apparently was off picking up the new GT demo car from Oltoff's, so should be there tomorrow. There was a new Ford GT there and saw him go for a parade lap - not enough speed to generate any excitement for me or the 4 year old. Chip Foose was there and had a big line for autographs. Unique was there - the Elenor replica guys not the Gadsden cobra guys. Took the Mercedes on a parade lap with the munchkin in the back - hit all of 65 mph on the back straight. Bit the bullet and got a participants pass for rest of the weekend, so going to take the cobra out for a couple of passes at Atlanta Drag Strip, and see what I can get into at Road Atlanta. They have a wet and dry autocross there so may take a shot at that. Pretty laid back today, but imagine it will be much more crowded tomorrow!

There's a DD next to Hooters on 92 in Roswell...Just a thought...There's also one (DD) on Old Milton off 400 ...east about 1 mile on the left
