Mind if I show up at the start of the drive just to see the cars and meet some folks? I don't have a Cobra yet - I'm in the market. I'd like to see a few to get ideas.
Probably doesn't make sense to join the drive in my Miata.
Thanks

I know it's not really my place to specify the date and time (I don't even OWN one of these cars yet...I'm just a wanna-be at this stage), but it's already 4:15PM on Saturday, and I don't see that anything concrete has been determined.
Can I be so bold as to suggest that we make it Sunday at 10AM at the Dunkin' Donuts on Old Milton Parkway in Alpharetta?

Mapquest directions here.
Just thought I'd throw this out there.

I would have liked to have come but was busy trying to get some sort of race car running for the Walter Mitty. I hope next weekend's weather is as nice.

[quote=mzhun]That is Autoxmike that drove from Oregon and he lives about a mile away from me here in Kennesaw. He also pulled some impressive lap times at Little Talladega (sp?) recently. QUOTE]
I am still alive! The motor had a "knock" after my trip to Little Talledega last fall. Just got around to draining the oil - no metal. Pulled the valve covers and found a rocker that seems to be loose - which will knock real loud (been there). Next I'm going to cut open the oil filter to see if there is any metal. If that is OK then I'll tighten up the rocker a bit and start it up.
I want to take the Cobra to The Mitty next weekend!

I have a car that I Autocross, and it has a Sparco EVO II fiberglass race seat. A few years a go I drove the car to Topeka, KS and back for the Solo II Natioanals (no A/C, Rock hard suspension, etc, etc). To make the seat more comfortable, I bought a foam "eggcrate" mat that is meant to go under a sleeping bag for camping. I cut it up to make some new seat bottoms and lumbar supports - it ended up being the most comfortable seat on a long trip that I have ever had! Very ugly, but also very very effective and cheap.
