It was me....limping home in the SPF. Something has come loose in the front end and it's making a horrible clunking noise. I stopped shortly after I saw you to see if I could figure it out but couldn't see anything.

well ... I almost turned around when we passed, but I figured it was you and you were pointing in to the house like me. I had gone over the Alpharetta donut gathering this morning (nice eye candy there all morning long btw) and then stopped by the Big Shanty Festival in the downtown area. Hollar if you ever need some help.

I didn't find anything...yet. I won't get a chance to look until later this week. It makes a weird clunking noise (proportional to speed) from the left front (I think). You can feel it vibrating the car and it's pretty darn loud. Applying the brakes seems to silence it.

SVOBUD,
Thanks for the offer! I still want to hook up with you guys sometime.

Wiggle the wheel with it elevated and rule out a bearing. Next I'd remove the wheel and see if the brake caliper is tight. Any pulling to left or right under breaking? does the noise go away with a lateral g load in a turn? Does the car dart about when hitting bumps or uneven pavement? Report back and we'll try to help.

I didn't notice any darting around after bumps or pulling under braking. I'll check the bearing and brake caliper first and let you know what I find. Thanks for the advice! Hopefully, I'll be able to get to it this week.
