Default 302?

John, somehow small block doesn't go with John Owen. What's the target, 800 HP?

John,I have been kicking around doing an RCR gt40. I have talked with Fran a couple of times. I would be interested in seeing the car at some time. Would that be possible? thanks; chuck smith; Greenville SC

Tony – as to HP, we will just have to see what the little fella can do
Chuck – we can work out a visit later, right now the nose is just sitting on the chassis, had to be removed to get it in the transporter, some of the parts didn’t make it onto the truck, etc. There were 2 KMPs onboard, including one with a copper body – interesting car, but not very practical.
It will be a while before I have time for more photos, but it is like the ones on the RCR site. Fran is having a few startup pains, but is focused on two things – quality and customer service. My experience with him has been exceptional on both counts. As one example, I wanted a second set of doors, cut off at the sill, so I could run a semi-spyder configuration at times. He provided them – Factory Five refused to sell me a car without a body, a transmission cover without a hole, and so on – so I moved on to this project. A single pin and lightweight doors should make the swap easy

As to the dog – the U of Ga vet school diagnosed terminal cancer back in October, a few weeks to live, never see his 15th birthday. There was one drug that sometimes slowed the tumor growth but has awful side effects on the digestive track. He has endured it for six months without complaint, but has been unable to eat solid food for the last 2 weeks. He is a Border Terrier, and grooming consists of stripping – yanking out the coarse outer fur to expose more of the soft undercoat. I decided he could skip that. Being in the picture at all is a testament to his courage and pain tolerance. Mike, there is nothing wrong with the comment – he is scruffy now – just wanted to share the rest.

Nice ride, understand what you going through with your dog . My husky went through the same thing about 2 years ago . She made it to 15 years but got in such bad shape I had her put to sleep.

Chuck - the gearbox is a new G50/52 with Quaife differential. Considered the 930 but decided the 5 speed was better for me. Both are getting hard to find

Cracker - time for you to get a new toy, or fix the super-bimmer

Hey John, best wishes for the furry family member. I might be asking for advice. Our newest addition has some issues we are hoping are not malignant.
