I just got my yearly insurance bill and it's around $900 through Grundy.

Thanks,

redunique........my grundy rates are about the same. i have 3 toy cars covered by them, agreed value, a no fault insurance state and a clean driving record. the spf alone costs 50% more than my other two toys combined. they get a premium for cobra replicas . there are other less expensive carriers but i know that with grundy when you need coverage from claims there are virtually no questions asked as long as you have not violated their published coverage restrictions . their rates differ in other states, some states don't allow agreed value coverage, and if the car is registered as a 1965 the rates are much less thru grundy- mine is registered as a 1998 mich assembled vehicle so a higher rate. bill

I pay a little more through my Allstate plan, but I have an agreed upon guaranteed replacement value ($50K, backed up by a professional appraisal) and I know I won't get short-circuited if the need arises. Compared to even Allstate that $900 bill you received is steep!

State farm in cal. costs me 371.62 every six months 35,000 agreed value. but when my car gets finished a classic car designation can be put in to effect driving less than 1000 miles a year for under 200 a year.

Can't say enough good about Grundy. I had a recent settlement with them, and they could not be more helpfull, no questions asked.

My insurance is with Rally Insurance. They write for Safeco. My cost was $132 for 6 months with a guaranteed replacement value of $34K on my LA Exotic. But I sold the LAE and now my SPF insurance is twice what is was, but so is the guaranteed replacement value.

Just renewed mine,
Clean abstract, unlimited milage & use, appraised replacement value $71,300.00. Annual premium-----$2,687.00
In Ontario there are not any insurance Co's that write policys on "Kit cars"
You automaticaly go into a "high risk" catagorie & pay the max. rate
BUMMER!!!!
But as soon as you turn the key it doesn't matter any longer.
That's also probably why I have more than 6000mi. in 15 months, that includes 6 months of winter.
