Default Sighting: Alpharetta Haynes Bridge/Academy (Red #7)

At least I think it was sporting the number 7...

I'm guessing everyone here knows who it is, but I thought I'd ask.

It was me! Wandering around looking for a place to actually drive the thing.

Sounded downright nasty...the "good" nasty, of course.

Now I'm wondering if a 302 will really do...

Can't beat the sound of a 427 side-oiler IMHO. However, if you're building a 289 car, then a 302 isn't a bad option. But if it's a 427 model, you got to give a lot of thought into putting the name sake engine in it.

If you ever need an extra pair of hands to help out with a Cobra-related project, feel free to let me know. I live close by (Mayfield & Providence) and am (used to be?) pretty handy under the hood.

Thanks for the offer. After all the trials and tribulations of the past year, I'm hoping this will be a low maintenance season. Had the engine out twice, and ended up having it rebuilt twice. Tranny in and out 3-4 times. It's running like a clock now so hoping it stays that way.
Thanks!
Scott

Build a stroker - 331 or a 347. It'll run circles around that 427 and sound bomb-diggidy-nasty too boot.

Default Thems fightin' words Bud....

After all, they didn't call it a Cobra 331 did they But I do admit, Bud's "Car's got a lot of pickup. It's got a cop motor, a 331 cubic inch plant, it's got cop tires, cop suspensions, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas. What do you say, is it the new Bluesmobile or what? "

HSSS 427, this is Kramer (currently building ERA 739)...just wondering did you build this yourself? I looked a very similar car about maybe 5 years back in CA? ring any bells?

PS..if it is what I am thinking...beautiful car.

Kramer, nope bought it from Phil Cool in Sonoma County CA. Probably the same car. He did a great job, but I've done a lot of playing with it - rebuilt engine, new tranny, new fuel line and pickup on the tank, ceramic coated the side pipes, halon fire system, new seats, even some body repair/touchup. But the core of it is still Phil's handy work. I'm happy and seem to get my share of compliments when it's sitting with other replicas.
Thanks!
Scott

Interestingly enought I flew from ATL to look at is as well...I was living there ar the time but since moved to Denver. Anyway..have fun with it. Perhaps sometime I'll have my car back in ATL (i go there often to visit old friends.)

Take Care, Kramer.
