Sunday morning, eh? Well, since I'm a foreigner (Gwinnett Co.), pick a place I can get to. How about something closer in to perimeter? What's happening at RA? I was looking forward to a little road trip to TOG. I'm sure the ride up there alone would be nice. The hype on the website makes it look like a complete bummer. I have no desire to run it in second gear.

I did a web search to try to find a Sunday breakfast spot sort of near Dreamland. I found the Peachtree Diner on Holcomb Bridge road...
http://www.peachtreediner.com/
They open 8am Sunday. The menu looks reasonable. I have never eaten there, so if it sucks don't blame me too much.
I'm not sure what kind of parking lot they have. I suspect it's OK.
Looking back through this thread I see five takers so far...
me
Tony Radford
Chip
Bud
Scott
Five people - not too bad for Cobras in Atlanta.
Any other ideas for breakfast, or is Peachtree Diner OK? They open at 8am. Is that OK? The earlier we start, the better chance we have of not getting fried in this heat. We also have plenty of Sunday left for other stuff.
Any other takers? It would be cool to see a lot of Cobras.

I just got reminded that this sunday (Aug 12th) is the John Bleakley Ford show. Made it out there just about every year since 89' - I'll probably hit that instead of a group breakfast this time.

Is the breakfast deal tomorrow morning on? Peachtree Diner at 8am? If so, is there a show of hands?

I'm game. Might be closer to 8:30 for me. I've got a pretty good haul.

Guys, I'm not going to make the trip, since I'm not certain that anyone is going to make it. I would have to head out pretty early to make it on time and it's way too far to go for a solo breakfast.

Tony,
Thanks for the heads up. I was just about to get myself ready to leave. I'll go back to bed.
I agree, I don't want to drive there to be by myself. I want to meet other Cobra owners and check out their cars.
Lets try to do this again sometime.

I was watching this thread, hoping the meet would work out, then Mama reminded me today is our day to water the lawn
Tomorrow night is "Two seater convertible night" at Summit Racing in McDonough if anyone is interested. There should be a few Cobras there.

still working on over heating problems.
May I suggest the every Saturday "Donut Derilict" group 8-thins out by 11, but even could even meet for lunch. I go often; central location: Chamblee Dunwoody Rd almost at Peachtree : Dandy Donuts, just across from chambly Hich School. Reg car guys of all types. Always someone to talk to. Thoughts

Chip,
I've heard about the derelict donut thing. Never been. How many cars usually show up?
I live near Lenox Square so it's sort of convenient to me.

John Bleakley show was HOT. Besides the high temps (in the shade), there was everything imaginable there to look over - including a vast amount if Mullets .. if you're into Mullet Huntin that is. Only Cobras were me and rcassidy. Very nice Cobra ya got there Ryan.
They raffled off a 392ci Ford crate motor, complete from radiator to bellhousing/exhaust. Some lucky chump from Florida won it.
Is anyone gonna pick a place to eat already?!?!?

You name it, it shows up: Cobras on occasion, several Panteras, Monster Miatas, lots of hot rods, jags new and old, several old Ameican classics, etc.
Been going 5 plus years now, no rules, officers, dues: show up and talk cars. Bad weather days will fool you: not loys of exotic cars but everyone inside. Great people. Starts around 8, I arrive at 9:15 even when i try to get there earlier I make it when I can. That is where I was headed when I had over hating problems.
Always a reason to clean the car, drive somewhere, and get home before it gets hot and start on the "honey do" list.
Check in on Fridays and will let ou know if I am going. I am planning to go next week, track day the next week after. cb
