Default Looking for recommendation on Good Mechanic

Hey guys,
I'm looking for a good mechanic to work on my 351 Windsor. A couple of issues I'd like to have someone take a look at (overheating, oil leak, electrical, etc.). Anyone have a recommendation on a good shop that is familiar with the motor and our cars?
I'm in Duluth, so anything within 20 miles would be ideal.
I really appreciate it!

I would recommend you contact Joe Camire over on ffcobra.com.

He is an ASE master mechanic, and works for Hendrick. He also worked for Factory Five, knows ford technology inside out, and is an excellent individual.

He lives in Flowery Branch.

Thanks Bstuke! That is exactly the kind of recommendation I was looking for. I got over on FFR site (had to register as new user) and sent him a PM. Hopefully I'll hear back from him.
Hope he doesn't mind working on an EM. Would he work on mine as a side job or would he have me bring it to Hendrick?

Thanks again..... oh, I mentioned your name as well...hope that's cool.
Greg

I met Joe at the Road Atlanta Walter Mitty races earlier this year. I struck up a conversation with him when I saw his Factory Five. Nice guy. Beautiful car. I think he had just completed the paint.

So far I haven't come across an issue I haven't been able to handle myself with my Superformance. I'm not much of a mechanic. Good thing - the car has pretty much just needed routine maintenance. With his background with Fords and Factory Fives, Joe looks like the perfect person to work on our cars.

Here's another recommendation if you need it. It is in Duluth. I bought my CSX car from Planet Cobra and this is their install shop. They definitely know their way around cobras: David Norton owner, Nor-West Auto & Performance, knows CSX and superformance well, tel. 678-714-0820, email: davidnorton@birch.net

Bob,

Sorry I missed your post and am responding so late. Sure, I'd like to meet up with you and some others for a drive or something.

Also, a friend of mine (Warren Brook) asked me if I know you. Said he used to work with you.

Jack

Jack,

Yep, worked with Warren in the 80's at a company called BBL. Are you going with us this morning?

Well for some reason it won't let me post a link, but here is the info:

Ok so here is the schedule:

Starbucks at 8AM this Saturday the 18th.
Leave at 8:30
Drive to Blairsville up 19/129
Stop and BS.....
Drive back down 19/129 to Hwy53 and toward Gainseville.
Drive over to CobraJose's lake house for a BBQ and a dip in the lake if you wish. Should get there around 12:00-12:30.

Bring a date, screaming or otherwise.

Can't do it this morning. I will be driving in North Georgia though. I'm meeting a bunch of old college friends (Warren included) at an incredible home on Lake Burton. Low Country boil this afternoon.

It is a perfect day for a drive.

Jack
