Need Reverse (or Back Up) Lens & Louvers
Gents-
My 1986 AC MK IV #158 Needs the clear, rectangular lens that is located beneath the license plate. Will post some pics of the car, and my little tweaks, very soon! Markings on Lens are "series 210 SAE R72" "23/0" "WIPA" "Made in England". Any help as to where I might procure a replacement very much appreciated.
I put a magnet on my louvers on the sides of the car, and determined that they are apparently painted steel. ( I would have thought they would be aluminum also?) I would love to buy an exact replacement set in aluminum if possible, or steel, if they are indeed steel). I would like them to contrast the paint color by leaving them simply a natural brushed aluminum finish, or If they are steel, then having them chrome plated. I see after market ones at finish line, but the size is different. Thanks again for the help.
Griffbl
Many Thanks!

griffbl,
You might to try the AC Owners Club forum, The AC Owners Club website home page.
There's plenty of help there as well as a few knowledgeable guys here.
Some of those items are Land Rover parts bin stock.
I had one, and there's a few surprises in them. How heavy is your hood? IIRC, the hood was backed with another layer, obviously for strength. There's also quite a bit of bondo making those bodies look stunning, which it did. I didn't recall the louvers but it doesn't surprise me one bit. It was an awesome car and I would have kept it if I could have put a BB in it.

Griffbl,
you are looking for a WIPAC reverse light series 210 glass lense.
The side louvers ar steel, the original flyer shoes the option to upgrade to "stainless steel".
Have a search via google and you will find a lot of options from Morris Minor, Austin A35, MG, Rover
.

Got my spare part out of evil bay yesterday, payed 20 GBP total.
For some years it was used as well for the flush fit mounted reverse light on Austin Minis but most of the parts specialists don't stock it any longer.
So get one now.
If you have some connections to the UK they may help you out.
