MK vi - cockpit parts

Hi

I truly appreciate the design and the kind of gauges and every other detail used in this cockpit installation including switches, alerts, functions etc.

1. For my classic roadster carrying a ford 351w, is it possible to figure out from this picture whether these would be suitable for my car?

2.could you pls let me know where I can source these parts? Any company you know that could help me on this project?

DAX Cars' Tojeiro Cobra replica in the UK was the original base for the AC MK VI and the the interior is still apparently all Dax except for the nav screen. I think the company may have died and been reborn recently. Not sure, but look it up. If they're up and running you should be able to buy just about every interior part in the picture from them. May take a bit of fitting to adapt to a CR replica though.

Hi tropical buzz - thanks, it's refreshing buzz ☺️ Let's say I find all the parts, where do you see most of the problem in fitting? For example, is it so hard to close all the existing holes at my dashboard and redo them based on the size of the new gauges ? Or will i need to get a new base for the dashboard ? Secondly, the adaptation...I truly hv no idea how much these gauges, switches, warning lights are or not indifferent to the engine, fuel system and all other systems they are connected to...I was hoping to have more feedback generally from the forum as I thought people went thru similar restoring jobs but I could not get enough feedback so far whether it makes sense to undertake a project of this sort or not...hoping to get more color from members. My existing gauges are mostly VDO.

Another suggestion is to find a decent upholsterer close to home and show them the pics. The door panels, dash, etc, and even the coaming pads would be a piece of cake to fabricate. Search around the different gauge and seat manufacturers for the other stuff and voila! You can have a near identical interior custom made for your car for pretty close to what it would cost to import and alter/adapt the pieces from the UK. Best of luck.

EDIT - Lol! Looks like we were typing at the same time. I've changed gauges several times on various cars. Just pick out the ones you like - they all come with the necessary wiring and sensors, etc. Not a big job at all. Use your existing dash as a template and cut a new one out of aluminium sheet after making a cardboard mockup and fitting it to the car. You can do that yourself or have the upholstery guys do it. Its really not a difficult undertaking at all.
