I can tell you from the pictures that the rear buck is not a 60's original piece:

Apparantly so - a couple of container loads I'm told. So not much chance of any meaningful snappery. However, once the new AC Heritage building is complete in the spring of 2009, I'm sure the stuff will be unloaded and the treasures laid out for all to see and gasp at. What's left, that is....

OK,,, whatever that means. A bit of a head scratcher, like ALL "replicas" it needs qaulification, expression, debate and passion to figure out exactly what it means.

Apparently not,,, it's a horse, like the walking dead, that refuses to die.

I understand that 12 CSX1000 series cars were produced with AC sourced bodies. Have later cars in this series been based on North Devon Metalcraft bodies? There doesn't seem to be any reference to CSX1000 cars on Shelby's website.

As for there being 12 cars, the SAAC registry shows 14 cars CSX1001 thru CSX1014 with most of them built by "AC Motor Holdings", except for CSX1005, which it says was built by "AC Cars".

csx 1013
I have this AC, supposedly the last one off the line across the pond. built as a rolling chassis, motor and drivetrain installed at Shelby America in las vegas, and the original owner spent the day there. only 1,500 miles on the car. any ideas of current value or how I can trace its manufacture, etc?

Nah, that place looks too small, cramped and less well lit to be either of the Kirkham facilities...
