Thanks Jerry. I know about the tips but where is the mating surface on 2 piece? Not jacking, bumping Keith's ad.

Chas---the stem piece is spun welded to a disc for the face of the valve--some welding /manufacturing/engineers will have to explain the tech process but basicly a rod(valve stem ) is spun at high temp into the disc ---sorta like spin rubbing a stick on a rock to start a fire---

As Jerry has stated stock valves are welded where the head meets the stem. These are one piece stainless steel valve. They are the same that we use in solid roller engines with up to 1000lbs open pressure and 8400 rpms. They are made for us by S.I. valves. Most companies do not have a 11/32 FE valve on the shelf so we have these custom made for our heads. You do not have to worry about the valves in these heads.
Thanks, Keith Craft

Chas quick jacking around and acting like you don't know this sh!t, just so you can force all these interesting facts to the surface for us pups. Get back in your hole and finish writing the "Oracle" book so I can get on to solving all my leaks. And loan me $2200 so I can buy Keith's heads.

I know this; if you don't drink that Mexican worm-bath for the next two weeks-there's your $2200. You've already got the Ersons and those bauxite heads will take 44 pounds off the nose too.

I have a question that may apply to others.
I have a 390 with D2TEEA heads now. A stock bottom end with the edelbrock RPM intake, 1 3/4" headers, 2 1/2" exhaust, Comp Cam 280H-10, stock push rods and non-adjustable valve train. Would these stage II heads be an upgrade I should be considering for the next level of performance.
I'm curious to know what all else I would need if this is right for me, thanks.

If you would like to pick up about 60 to 70HP over the heads thatyou have these would be great for you. We would need to use a 2.09/1.66 valve size for that bore size engine. You might have to do somehting different with the pushrods since you do not have the adjustable rockers or go to adjustable rockers. Untill this was checked you would not know if you would need to do this or not.
We build the heads for each customers needs. We would set the springs up to match your camshaft.
Thanks, Keith
