I just recently sold an original 427 Cobra Bill of Materials booklet on eBay which belonged to Lew Spencer when he was at Shelby American. Lew was one of the key figures on the 427 Cobra project. This item is pictured in the last two pictures in this listing. Basically, this item was a comprehensive listing of each and every part which was needed in the construction of a 427 Cobra. The list was 70 pages in length and features 983 unique parts listed out along with how many of each part is needed to build a 427 Cobra. The list even includes the AC Cars and Shelby American part number for each part. The question I got more than any other question during the time that the Lew Spencer piece was listed is whether I would consider producing a copy of the materials so that people who wanted reference material could purchase one. Because of that, I am now offering this bound copy of the 427 Cobra Bill of Materials. The booklet has a front and back cover. The front cover is clear and the back cover is black. This makes for a nice presentation and an application which is easy to flip through. This is basically a master parts list for 427 Cobras and is one of the single best reference materials on the market today. It is a must have item for anyone owning an original, building a replica, or anything in between. The book covers street cars as well as competition models.
