I would be very leery of anybody offering a "deal" on an engine. Stick with one of the well known reputable engine builders like Keith Craft, Ford Racing, etc and you will be way ahead of the game. Consider it money well spent. There are numerous threads here about 'good deals' that turned out to be nightmares.

I bought a used engine from an ad in the paper. Paid $490 for a 1969 351w. He said it had 3000 miles on the motor. No proof of anything. I put on a new carb and changed the oil and plugs.Nothing else. Well I can spin the tires at 65mph. Valves seem to float around 6700 rpm. Guess I got a good deal !!! Jim

New owner myself, haven't logged alot of miles yet but the car feels solid and fun to drive. Good Luck and check in with the B&B section from time to time. I found the guys on ClubCobra very helpful.

russell66;
At one time you were looking for a Daytona coupe. Did you get it or the roadster?
Good Luck,

Default B&B cobra purchase

I went with the cobra because of the cost, they had two coupes their I sat In the red and black car and it is awsome I would have liked to go that way but even with the sale on the car It was just a little more then I could swing at this time so I went with my first choice the cobra.

Good choice with the B&B. It is well made, very solid and Anderson stands behind his product. Great service. I have one also and if in the market for another one it would be from him. I am a retired Ford tech and will help anytime. Good luck
