Supercars
Do you consider your Cobra to be a SUPERCAR?
If not what do you consider to be a SUPERCAR?
There are sites on the internet that may consider it to be....
What is your opinion?
I'm not sure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not sure I'd consider any of the Cobra iterations a supercar. Extraordinary for their time, yes, especially the Daytona Coupe, but to me a supercar is one built for the street, for a skilled but not necessarily expert driver, that has performance in the top fraction of a percent. These days, that top fraction means over 200 MPH coupled with a quarter in the 12s (without special drag preparation) and 0-100-0 in under ten seconds. Some Cobra builds can match this, but only the expense of being very raw and uncomfortable rides. Not the same thing at all.

i agree with Gunner. I would also add that a supercar needs to be very exclusive in addition to being fast. For example a Porsche Turbo can go over 200 and do the 1/4mile under 12 with a few mods, but is still not a supercar because there are too many of them around.

No Way! Supercar to me is an outlandish production car that is far beyond the reach of most people financially, which an original CSX Cobra is, but is sleak, aerodynamic & requires a french man behind the wheel with fancy gloves & silly accent

Actually regardless of what some here "consider" a supercar, the historical fact is that the Cobra was a Supercar in its day. In fact while it can't match the performance of todays Supercars it was without a doubt "the" Supercar of its day.
Forget what some "consider" and go with the facts. You'll be right every time.
In fact, because of its reputation as one of the worlds greatest supercars of its day it still is in the pantheon of worlds greatest performance cars.

The Cobra was a supercar in the 1960s (in MHO). Technology marches on.
