Beautiful!! A car that could be driven, provided one could afford to buy it. I've seen it several times at Canepa.

You know, I saw that car getting the frame restored over the last couple of years. I wondered why someone would spend so much mula and time removing all the mechanicals to get to the frame to restore it and then leave everything else unrestored. There are many areas on the body where the paint is really suffering, showing fading, dings, and rock damage.

I often thought, if were me I would have either left it and drove the piss out of it, or completely restored it and then drive the piss out of it.

Oh well, it was not me.

Not only that - it still has the black California plates on it! Love those
shorties for business behind the front wheels.

4 pipes, it wasn't just the frame that was restored. The former owner had the car's mechanical bits rebuilt, and repainted the frame as well. The idea was to make certain everything was fresh mechanically but allow the car to retain the kind of patina that is lost when a full cosmetic restoration is performed. So now, the car looks old, but goes new.

We still don't care.

Those seats remind me of an oiled up baseball glove I had when I played ball. That color is most likely one of the ugliest colors I've seen on a Cobra but that car is definitely in my top five with it's ugly color and all it's patina. It's perfect.

When you see the whole package in person....well, it just works.
