Just another reason why a nice replica is so rewarding...Cobra fun without the investment required for an original CSX.

It seems like that there are quite a few people on this forum that could afford this Cobra and there are dozens of members that know people looking for an original Cobra.
I’m not sure that I would want to burn any bridges by insulting any members regarding their Cobras. Especially, if you’re in the car business and you’re trying to sell a Cobra.
Besides that, there are a quite a few Cobra manufacturers that build Cobras that drive as well or better than an original.

Look at his web site. Just a handful of nickle and dime cars. He and his buddies probably had to mortage their houses to buy that one Cobra.

I wish I was as smart as "The Owner." He bought low and selling high. I wish I thought of that. Excellent strategy.
I usually buy high and sell low, and that's why I'm an ignorant "replica wannabe owner" with no money and a "beater" Kirkham.

Well, well, well... Gentlemen, I would like to show you what this individual sent to my private mailbox.
You know, its amazing how easy it is for some moron to go on one of these garbage websites and spew off a bunch of venom about someone elses property or reputation. I am the owner of CSX2568 and I have a major problem with your cute little line "it doesn't make sense but after looking at the sellers feedback you can understand why". WHO ARE YOU to comment on my feedback when you probably don't even know how it works? You are playing with peoples lives and livelihood for fun. We sell used vehicles sight unseen and are 718 out of 723 positive. Thats real. Not fixed, not doctored, real. And its real good. The rating system on ebay on accounts for the past 12 months which is ridiculous. I have sold items to buyers with an 80% rating that have been great and have dealt with 100% buyers and sellers which either didn't show or were scammers. Be careful when you write on these blogs. I did not even know they existed until I was notified by a real Cobra expert that knows the car and is appalled by some of the comments he read. If you have any issues with me, my company or the car, please contact ME and I will try to help you out in your concerns. SFE1234@aol.com
First of all, I am someone who doesn't automatically stereotype people when they don't agree with me. Secondly, I know exactly how it works, I've been a member of Ebay for MANY years and have always had a 100% feedback. Thirdly, I don't have to be "CAREFUL" about voicing my opinions, you obviously don't know how THIS works...THIS is a BLOG, that's what it is used for. And lastly, according to everything I have read thus far, including this "private" email to me, it just goes to prove my opinion, and EVERYONE else's here of you is correct.
Oh, and by the way...I keep attorneys on retainer in Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia and Florida, take your pick.
ZOERA- I agree completely...what's the fun in owning it, if you can't drive and enjoy it!
gthompson- I would bet there are quite a few members who could afford to purchase "his" Cobra, but obviously have chosen not too. I sold cars for 10 years, any salesperson worth his salt knows that you never under estimate the ability of a potential client to pay. He just "assumed" every one on this site can't. Who does he think he's "marketing" to anyway. WOW! As far as "not burning bridges", it's probably too late for that.
Dwight- You're absolutely right. As I've learned in my 40 years of femaledom, if you ignore a jerk, he'll usually take his "toys" and go home.
REMEMBER: "Ignorance is Curable, Stupid is Forever". Some people just refuse to learn.

I have given you ALL the info to contact me so why don't you be a real man(can replica guys be "real men"?) and contact me? You don't think I own the car so why don't you come over and I will charge you to take a picture with it? By the way, I never read this website until yesterday(check when I registered) but there are OTHER REAL COBRA OWNERS that are very upset that morons like you have a forum to spew venom without any knowledge or class. Get a life and enjoy your replica Cobra.
Look sfe1234 I will try once again to communicate with you. I agree with you on the “can’t fix stupid” that is why I won’t try to fix you. Why would I want to call and talk to you? You clearly have an attitude that no one wants to deal with. My belief was and is that the market value of the car is 440K. If you can find someone else is dumb enough to pay more than that for the car in the current market good for you. Why not report back if the car sells and tells us how much you got for it? Also it seems the only one spewing venom is you. You are the one who is putting off the holier that thou attitude. Maybe you should look into the mirror and assess who needs to change.
Good luck with the sale, FIA Mike
PS: I wouldn’t pay you a cent for a ride in the car. I’ve ridden in and driven several REAL Cobras (both USRRC and street 289’s along with street 427’s) and I can say none of them handled better than my ERA built 289 FIA roadster.

You are so right! We have both; an original CSX and a replica CSX. We bought the replica so that we can actually drive the car. You don't want to put 100s of miles on an antique.... We love our replica CSX it is amazing. This guy is a real piece of work.

Who would do something like that?
I think it's great to have someone around like this. Keeps the boards alive. Just like Eric Cartman from South Park, we all need a bad guy to rev up the conversations here from time to time.
BTW, being ignorant and all, can anyone confirm that this person actually owns 2568? It wouldn't be the first time someone has been less than honest. Of course, I'm not talking about Patrick trying to stir up the hornet's nest using my name.

Most of the time its reverse, (people pay too much) but in this case, based on unbiased real opinions from REAL Cobra experts(as opposed to replica"wannabe" people), yes, the car was a gift at Barrett Jackson. So if you all pool your money, maybe you can buy it and share it on weekends. Someone is going to get one beautiful Cobra! By the way, its always nice to actually LOOK at a car before making ignorant comments on websites like this. Good luck to all of you, Owner, CSX2568

Wow! Until I read this reply I was going write that seeing that price for CSX2568 made me feel somewhat insignificant, even though my hand built pride and joy has given me more joy than most anything I have ever owned. Now I will say,too bad more people cannot extract the same pleasure from these beautiful cars. These cars are a lot more than just dollars and cents to a lot of us.Since the 60's when I first laid eyes on one of these beasts,I have lusted over driving one.Now after building, tweaking, racing, and more important meeting a lot of great people, the experience is something those of you with need for more money, will probably never enjoy.

Boy is his turban on too tight.
He just pissed off a good source of buyers for that car.
Nice job, Abdul!

Jim, no disrespect, but in my opinion your comment is not appropriate and is disrespectful to the many people around the world who wear turbans, for example, Sikhs.

It is meant to be disrespectful to him, and him alone.
When he called me a moron, he threw "political correctness" out the window.

While the population of Cobra owners who wear Turbans and read this website is probably small, they could be insulted. Either way, I pointed it out, and I'm done.
Back to the thread. OK, now if I own a REAL (Kirkham) Cobra, per the SAAC World Registry, can he call me a "wannabe replica owner"? At present, I don't desire to buy and/or build a replica.

Wow!
I didn't know we were just a bunch of sh!theel posers, paupers and pretenders on here and that only a real guy like that could piss on.
Glad he straightened us out about what losers we are. And the real-world values of REAL Cobras.
Be a shame if the garage-mahal caught fire and he had to rebuild it from the footbox tag up. But then he might have a replica 2568...
Smug basturd too. Makes Evan and Patrick look like Mother Theresa and the Dalai Lama...

This thread has gone awry in multiple dimensions.
Let's let it go.
...and don't start another about this car, OK?
Thanks
