How about this from Vintage motorsports Just completed. This Backdraft RT3 Roadster features an all new Ford 347 small block stroker engine with approximately 400HP on tap. A new Tremec World Class 5 speed transmission gets the power to the 17" Knock Off Wheels. Interior features new Backdraft Racing seats with silver stitching for high contrast against the black leather. Take advantage of this online special. Price is not an error, $39,950 drives this one home.
Sad thing is in this economic down turn still no deals on an ERA .....that must mean something

Taking a quick look at Cobra Country and eBay, it seems to be a reasonable deal. There's Backdraft with a Roush 402 on ebay with no reserve with a bid of $30K (4+ days to go).

Have you driven and compared the different makes?

You will not find a better deal from a better dealer. If you want a cobra and this is your color of choice set up shipping. That car should be priced at $45K with the 17" wheels. I have watched the cobra market for years and that is about as good as it gets.

As good as it gets unless you have ANTOHER $37K (77k TOTAL) for a used Kirkham. Hate to say it but 99% of people would like the way the BDR looks more due tothe paint. I sold this same car about 4 years ago, much earlier chassis and 15" wheels for a couple grand less. Same color and this is a beautiful color that you never get tired of. Be nice if the bdr gt would come down in price. How about turnkey for $50K

It was tough enough getting this one under $40k... a GT under $80k would be a tougher feat.

There are a lot of cars you cannot purchase thanks to Transport Canada. If you have a residence in the States though you can work it out. This goes for SPF, FF, ERA, essentially all of them "new".

Nope. They will sniff it out. It needs to be constructed over 15 years ago. It's protectionism...

Thanks for all your imput , You are obviously a enthusiast and a dealer-a rare thing IMHO

There's a pretty good discussion of the issues with Transport Canada in that other thread you have going, atleast it was linked anyway. I get roughly 3 solid leads a year from Canada ... a lot of work.

I would be happy to sell a car to Canada, but I will not assume the risk of getting it properly imported and registered and so far no one in Canada has wanted to take that risk.

The last I heard about SPF Canada was that they were importing cars minus tires/wheels and some other parts they could generate locally to meet "domestic content" requirements. That was over a year ago and I think that didn't work as they expected. I have had several calls regarding our Coupe and that little snag is a pretty large problem for Canadian enthusiasts. Thank goodness your govt. is looking out for you
