Default Can someone identify my sidepipes

I was looking at a thread on sidepipes and collector size when I decided to look more closely at mine. As some of you know I am in the process of identifying my car parts and being new to the scene the pipes are in need of this.
They are 3 1/2 collectors (O.D. anyway). I was looking at many cobra pictures and my type of collectors seem to be different that most. They more resemble my drag car collectors. They look like a separate part and they are long .
If I were to replace these collectors and muffler what would I ask for other than being ceramic coated. Please school me on sidepipes.
There can't be much in there, the car is loud.
I hope I can get a picture in the thread, if not go to my gallery (Lou's pictures)

Is your B&B a long-wheelbase model? It looks like you've got a 94" chassis there. If you extend the length between the sidepipe cutout and the rear of the door, you have to extend the sidepipes to match. Your options are to use the longish collector tubes you have or a longer muffler housing. Anything more standard will leave the sidepipe exit somewhere under the door, a dorky, off-sized look.

Thanks for the reply Gunner. Its a 90" wheelbase car. The muffler section is 24". The collector is 10" from where the primaries enter to the muffler. Total from end of primaries to center of the end is 41". Are they just chambered mufflers. Is there a company that makes most of the Cobra style sidepipes?

Wow, the photo really looks like a long wheelbase. Ya gotta stop using those Detroit longer-lower-wider lenses.

There are several makers of standard sidepipes. All those dimensions sound about right (too tired to run out and measure mine). Do you dislike the proportions, or what?

The guts can be anything from a cherry bomb (straight through with packing) to a full chambered muffler - it's up to you and your exhaust guy as to what to put in there. I *think* most standard sets use a single-chamber muffler with baffles. Up to you, your local noise regs and your daring... and your earplugs.
