Default 289 cut back doors

Hey guys, I've been around the snakes for a while, and have owned one or another since '98. I'm thinking of doing a 289 street car. What is the story on the doors of the 289 cars. I see that some are cut back, and some are the same as the 427 style.
Thanks,
Richard Bailey

Only the competition FIA's cars used a cut back door........

All 289 slabside comp and street Cobras used the same door as the 427.

CSX2568:No cut back door

Allen Grant: No Cut Back

CSX2345 FIA: Cut Back

Thanks for the info, I am considering doing a FFR 289 rebody project, and doing some research.
Cheers,
Richard

Just another cool nuance that sets the FIA cars apart.
