Default What size are you oil cooler lines on big block cars?

Are you using 10 An or 12 AN? The oil line mounting block is 1/2 inch on the car and cooler

The original lines from the remote filter to the block to the cooler were 10AN on mine, and from what I've seen, on most. 12AN would be... difficult to route unless you're willing to go straight through bulkheads etc. I'm not convinced the larger lines would serve much purpose even for the most extreme track engine, as long as the plumbing is relatively smooth and fitting-free.

When I reworked my plumbing to include the oil thermostat, I stayed with 10AN except for the hard 90* fitting between the filter mount and the thermostat inlet - I went with 12AN because I could.

Doesn't matter if small block or big block, -10 is fine, but if -12 fits and you like the way it looks, then use that.

The bigger the lines the more oil you have in your system,As I remember mine is plumbed with -10.-10 or-12 either will do the trick, whats important is what they are used for, filtering and cooling the engines life blood.
