I want an AC Cobra

When I was a little kid, at the age of five,
I had already made my choice, had a goal in my life.
Whatever my future maybe, even if I have to strive,
I’m gonna find my holy Graal, no matter how hard’s the strife.

Pictures in the frames, on my bedroom walls,
She was the only one model that you could find at all.
Watching them every morning, ‘til mum’ calls “schooltime !”,
Then I slipped one in my bag, needed a shot from time to time !

I’m fascinated by a wild beast, she’s the queen of all my dreams.
Sometimes in the middle of the night, I just wake up and scream:

I want an AC Cobra !…… I want an AC Cobra !

Then there was a time when the girls were coming first.
Forgot a while about my quest and tried to quench my thirst.
Found the lady of my heart, and soon we planned to get married,
When we set the wedding presents list, I simply kneeled and cried.

I’m fascinated by a wild beast, she’s the queen of all my dreams.
Sometimes in the middle of the night, I just wake up and scream:

I want an AC Cobra !….. I want an AC Cobra !

Now I’m past my fifties, and I’m running like a rat,
One gig here, and one gig there, I don’t risk getting fat !
Been driving so many cars, much more than a million miles,
But I never drove my star, though I’m sure she’s just my style.
